Background:

Native and resident of Aurora, Illinois. Prior to entering private practice, I was an inspector, examiner, attorney
and teacher for the Immigration & Naturalization Service. Upon graduation from law school, I was appointed law
clerk to Justice James D. Heiple of the Illinois Appellate Court. I have been involved in commercial, injunction,
probate and general litigation, immigration, administrative , environmental and local government law. I have
served as a hearing officer in siting pollution control facilities in Kane, DuPage and Kendall counties. Since 1999,
served as an adjunct professor at Northern Illinois University College of Law, having taught Illinois Civil
Procedure, Immigration & Nationality Law and Trial Skills courses. I am a Certified Mediator/Arbitrator in the
Sixteenth Judicial Circuit, serving Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties. Ongoing contributions as a Continuing
Legal Education speaker and writer for the Illinois State Bar, DuPage County and Kane County Bar Associations.
