This is a famous pick up line from the tv show friends as quoted by the character Joey tribbiani
It is used when Joey himself wanted to start a new conversation with some random girls he find
pretty, let it be in the café or by the streets. It is also said that whenever he uses that pick up line, no
girls can resist him even his best female friends!

This comes to point of a question. Do pick up lines REALLY work ?

Creating the right strategy for making a move on someone can be tough work, since people are
different and their reactions can be unexpected. For those who don’t care that much what others
will think of them, this is not much of a problem. However, most of us are not that loaded with self-
esteem, so starting a conversation with someone we like is quite a challenge. But what better
reaction can we get than a sincere, big old laugh. This of course doesn’t imply that you succeeded in
your intention of approaching that someone but it’s a pretty good start.

Pick up lines like “hey, I wish you are my homework, because I can do you ALL night.” Of course this
is an absurd line, but if you heard it, it would be hard not to laugh. Using such obnoxious terms is
what makes it so low-minded that you can’t even take it seriously, so the natural reaction would be
to laugh, although it depends on the tone and the situation, because it could result in a slap on
somebody’s face. This may not be the best illustration of what a good pick up line should be like, but
it covers the humor part, and also, by being so silly, you loosen up the tension between strangers.

Corny pickup lines that comment on someone’s good looks don’t work, the trick is to start a
conversation, not to create an awkward silence. As I already said, the most important thing is to be
as playful as you can, because you don’t want to scare the other person away, even if that means
hiding your true intentions. Even lines like hi , I make jokes when I’m uncomfortable, could break a
smile in her face because first off it’s weird. But after that little smile exchange moment , you can
easily introduce yourself and chat with her.

Girls likes funny boys the most, if he’s a gentleman that’ll be an extra credit. But why do they like
funny guys more ? Is it because they fear of a serious manner relationship ? Or our secret cravings
for bad boys just like the ones in fiction movies. Or we just simply want a guy that’s easy going but
filled with humor. Yes , funny guys can be cringe at some point but usually guys with humor is more
relatable and open minded. The way they charm girls with humor is better than sappy old boys that
just walked up to you and say hi but have no topic to talk about.

As a conclusion, girls just wanna have fun. It is as simple as that though girls can be complicated at
times. But mostly we do not want to overthink and just want a good laugh and have a good time. So
boys out there ! Start practicing your sense of humor because pick up lines DO work.
