1. What do you do in your business career?


I started my business career as a liaison officer for IPI Realty. I then transferred to Sunpride
Foods, Incorporated as a researcher to learn about the products and then was moved to
Production to have a firm grasp of how the business operates. I am currently the Purchasing
head and I oversee special projects.
2. How long have you been in this business/ career?
I have been working for the family since 2014 so roughly 4 years.
3. What/who inspired you to indulge in this career?
My family inspired me to be in business. They have been encouraging us (me, my siblings, and
cousins) to either help out or start our own businesses. But if I have to be specific, I would say
that my dad inspired me.
4. As a part of the business, how much do you your business? (Background of the business)
I’m still learning the ropes but I would say that I know a decent amount about the business.
5. How did you get your idea or concept in building the business?
My grandfather and his brothers came up with the idea to sell banana chips and it all started
from there. They came up with different products until the business evolved into meat
manufacturing.
6. What type and form of business do you have?
Sunpride Foods, Incorporated is a meat manufacturing company. It is family owned and
managed.
7. What kind of financial statements do you prepare?
As to my knowledge we prepare Income statements and the Cash flow statement.
8. What type of accounting services do you acquire?
The accounting services we have are bookkeeping, tax accounting, and accounting audit.
9. Has your business experienced financial losses? When and why?
Yes the business experienced a long time ago. It was mismanaged at that time. The company
was putting money in expanding and in projects that expenses were more than the earnings.
10. How did it affect your business and how did you make it up?
The business really went down but with new management, the company slowly got back to its
feet.
11. Are there ethical concerns that your business must deal with? How do you overcome these
ethical problems?
There are none that I know of. The business operates in the most ethical manner. We would
never go into unethical practices to boost profits.
12. What strategies did you apply in making this business of what it is now?
In my current position, strategies would only be applicable to the department I am handling. So
far I have been trying different management styles and different processes to improve the
department.
13. How profitable is your business?
The business has maintained good growth over the years.
14. What makes your business stand out from other businesses?
I would say that it is our culture and people that make our business stand out.
15. What kind of employee are you looking for?
It is given that employees should be hardworking and capable but for them to be loyal is
something you should value the most. So in a nutshell, I would say that I look for loyal
employees.
16. What changes can you make that will change everything?
