vehicles as a part of your local network with Arctic
GPRS Router and Arctic EDGE Router.

if GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks are available.
Arctic GPRS and EDGE Gateway
are designed for industrial
applications. Reliability of
connection and the device itself
is essential. This is provided
by internal and communication
monitoring. In case of any
malfunction communication is re-
established automatically.
by utilizing private APN services
provided by a mobile operator or
by using Viola M2M Gateway
which provides VPN connection
between the Viola M2M Gateway
and Arctic devices. Arctic GPRS
and EDGE Gateway have also
an internal firewall for network
interfaces.

Secure and two-way communication (static IP
addresses) is provided with Viola M2M Gateway
(operator independent) or with mobile operator private
APN service.
Being able to work with either
private or public operator APNs
makes the Arctic GPRS and EDGE
Gateway especially suitable for
connecting remote devices and
equipment to the Internet and
corporate networks. End-to-end

The Arctic GPRS/EDGE Router is

32 MB SDRAM memory HTTP, POP3, SMTP conventional console interface is also
provided. The software of Arctic GPRS/
Power Tunneling (VPN) EDGE Router can be updated over the
6 – 26 VDC nominal input voltage SSH server and client network.
