The  candidates  selected  through  direct  recruitment  shall  be  governed  by  the  restructured  defined 
contributory pension system as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economics 
Affairs  (ECB&  PR  Division)  Notification  No.5/7/2003‐ECB&PR  dated  22.12.2003  effective  from  1.4.2004. 
Reservation & relaxation to Persons with Disabilities will be as per Govt. of India instructions issued from time to 
time.  LTC, Medical Facilities are also available in the Board under the Service Rules. 
 
The tenure of deputation shall be ordinarily upto a period of three years.  The terms and conditions of the 
deputation would be same as the standard terms and conditions prescribed by the Department of Personnel and 
Training vide OM No.2/29/91(Pay II) dated 5.1.1994 as amended from time to time.

1. Research Officer (Innovation)
 
Method of appointment:    Direct/Contract

Qualifications:        Essential: 
A.  Possessing atleast second class Masters Degree in
Mathematics/Science/Languages/History, Economics,
Geography/Accountancy/Political Science etc from a
recognised university or institution.
B.  Ten years Experience in organising seminars, in
service courses, orientation programmes for teachers,
symposia etc at National and International Level.
C.  Ten years experience of teaching at school level.
D.  Applicant must possess an excellent command of
English with writing, editing and proof reading skills.
E.  Applicant should be proficient in using computer and
possess analytical bent of mind with the ability to plan,
organise and successfully execute time bound
assignments.

2. Research Officer (Technology)
 
Method of appointment:    Direct/Contract  
 
Scale of Pay:        PB‐4 ` 37400‐67000 + GP ` 8700/‐ 
 
Qualifications:        Essential: 
A.  Possessing atleast second class Masters Degree in
Mathematics/Science/Languages/History, Economics,
Geography/Accountancy/Political Science etc from a
recognised university or institution.
B.  Possessing ten years Experience in material
development in various disciplines in the Electronic
format for Secondary/Senior Secondary levels.
C.  Certificate in Computer Applications or CAD/CAL.
D.  Capacity to create, access, generate and process
Electronic data and material. Applicant must possess
an excellent command of English with writing, editing
and proof reading skills.
E.  Applicant should be proficient in using computer and
possess analytical bent of mind with the ability to plan,
organise and successfully execute time bound
assignments.
Note: Preference will be given to the candidates
having ten years or more teaching experience.

3. EDUCATION OFFICER

Method of appointment Deputation

Scale of Pay PB-4 ` 37400-67000 + GP ` 8700/-

Qualifications: Essential:
A. Second class Master’s Degree from a recognized
University in Mathematics/Science/English and other
subjects as may be indicated at recruitment.
B. Degree in Teaching Education from a recognized
University/Institute.
C. Working knowledge of Hindi and English.

Desirable :
1. M.Phil. Degree
2. Published work.

Experience A. Officers of the Central/State/Statutory Bodies or


Autonomous Organizations and persons of eminence from
similar fields:
1. Holding analogous posts on regular basis.
Or
2. With at least five years service in PB3 scale of pay of
`15600-39100/- + Grade Pay of ` 7600/- or equivalent.
Or
3. (i) with at least ten years service in PB3 scale of pay of
`15600-39100/- + Grade Pay of ` 6600/-
And
Having 12 years experience as Principal of a Higher/Sr.
Secondary School/Intermediate College.
Or
(ii) 10 years experience as a Lecturer in
NCERT/SCERT/State Institute of Education/Department
of Education and
B. Experience in organizing seminars in-service courses,
orientation programmes for teachers, symposia,
educational conferences, sports rallies and General
Library meets and also in handling vocational subjects.
C. Experience of conducting University/Public/Board Level
Examinations.
D. Examination Reforms with particular reference to
improvement of mechanics of examination, internal
assessment, scholastic and non-scholastic achievement.
E. Preparation and production of text books.

Age limit: Not exceeding 56 years as on closing date of the receipt of


applications.

Note: In case of exceptionally qualified candidates, the


experience clause may be relaxed by the Board.
4.  Deputy Secretary (Finance and Administration) 
 

Method of appointment:   Direct/Deputation failing which on contract basis for the 
period of three years extendable upto three more years. 
 
Scale of Pay:        PB‐3 ` 15600‐39100 + GP ` 7600/‐ 
 
Qualifications:        Essential: 
A.  Possessing  a  degree  from  a  recognised  university  or 
institute, AND  
B.  Having  ten  years  experience  in  the  field  of  finance  and 
administration  in  responsible  position  out  of  which 
around five years service on a regular basis in PB‐3 with 
Grade Pay ` 6600/‐ or equivalent. 
OR 
Around  ten  years  service  on  a  regular  basis  PB‐2  with 
Grade Pay ` 4600/‐ and above. 
             
Desirable:  
A.  Undergone  training  in  accounts/establishment  from 
recognised Govt. institution. 
B.  MBA (Finance).

5.  Assistant Secretary  
 

Method of appointment:     Direct  
 
Scale of Pay:        PB‐3 ` 15600‐39100 + GP ` 6600/‐ 
 
Qualifications:        Essential: 
A.  At  least  2nd  class  Bachelor’s  Degree  from  a  recognized 
University. 
B.  At least five years experience in supervisory capacity in a 
Secondary  Education  Board  /  University  /  Govt. 
Departments/  Autonomous  Educational  Organizations 
with similar functions. 
 
Desirable: 
A.  Good working knowledge of both English and Hindi. 
B.  Knowledge of handling grievance cases.  

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on closing date of the receipt


of applications. Upper age relaxation will be given as per
Govt. of India rules.
 

 
6. Deputy Director (Examination Reforms)
 
Method of appointment:   Direct/Deputation failing which on contract basis for the 
period of three years extendable upto three more years. 
 
Scale of Pay:        PB‐3 ` 15600‐39100 + GP ` 6600/‐ 
 
Qualifications:        Essential: 
A.  Possessing a Masters Degree from a recognised
university or institution.
B.  Having five years experience in aspects of
CCE/Examination reforms at Board/University level.
C.  Experience in interpretation of scores, uses of test
results for purpose of guidance, academic production
and curriculum evaluation.
D.  Applicant should be proficient in using computer.

7. Senior Accounts Officer

Method of appointment:  On Deputation  
 
Scale of Pay:        PB‐3 ` 15600‐39100 + GP ` 6600/‐ 
 
Qualifications:        Essential: 

The persons who have passed SAS/SOGE/GAO


examination and are working on analogous post with
confirmed service
OR
The persons who have passed SAS/SOGE/GAO
examination and are working as senior Accounts
Officer/Senior Audit Officer in the pay scale of Rs.8000-
13500 (Pre-revised) with minimum experience of three
years in the grade
OR
The persons who have passed SAS/SOGE/GAO
examination and having six years regular service in the
pay scale of Rs. 7450 – 11500 (Pre-revised) or equivalent
OR
The persons who have passed SAS/SOGE/GAO
examination and having eight years regular service in the
pay scale of Rs.6500-10500 (Pre-revised) or equivalent.

Age –Limit Not exceeding 56 years as on closing date of the receipt of


applications.
 

8.  Security Officer:­ 

Method of appointment  :  On Contract basis 
 
 
Scale of pay  :  i.  Fixed remuneration of `30,000/‐ per 
month; and 
ii.  Would  enjoy  the  rank  of  a  Group  ‘A’ 
officer  of  Grade  Pay  `  5400/‐  in  the 
Board.  
 
 
Eligibility condition  :  Should  have  worked  at  the  level  of  Deputy 
S.P.  in  Central/State  Police  Organization/ 
Para  Military  Forces  or  at  the  level  of

01.   Research Officer (innovation) 
 To schedule, organize and conduct of training programmes for teachers, principals for 
the affiliated schools. 
 To assess training needs of the staff and conduct training programme. 
 To provide training material, case studies, practical exercises etc. for the training. 
 Development of new course content and innovation in the field of education. 
 Responsible for overall training activities of the Board. 
 Any other job and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

abroad and to act as Nodal Officer. 
 Other works relates to academic activities. 
 To  collect  material  for  preparation  of  books  prescribed  by  the  Board  for 
various classes and its proof reading etc. 
 Co‐ordination with the Central/State Educational bodies.

 Responsible for  overall administrative and financial activities of the training division  of the 
Board. 
 
05.   Assistant Secretary  
 Assist in conduct of examination and preparation of results. 
 Supervision of General Administration and Accounts 
 Assist  in  appointment  of  various  functionaries  in  conduct  of  examination 
and evaluation. 
 Conduct of different committees meetings.

06.  Deputy Director (Examination Reforms) 
 To assist Training Division in schedule, organize and training programmes for 
teachers, principals for the affiliated schools. 
 To develop training material, case studies, practical exercises etc.  
 To introduce for new changes in the examination pattern. 
 Development of the summative and formative assessment material. 
 Development of new course content and innovation in the field of education. 
 Any other job and responsibilities assigned from time to time. 
 
07.  Senior Accounts Officer   
 Budget control, proposal for budget revision, allocation and re‐appropriation. 
 Internal audit, to check that the payments are made as per rules. 
 To ensure compliance of all Statutory Audits and Guidelines. 
 Compilation of Annual accounts, Reconciliation of Bank Accounts. 
 Financial advice, Maintenance of Accounts and Financial prudence. 
 Any other job and responsibilities assigned from time to time. 
 
08..   Security Officer 
 To aid and advice the Management on the security aspect..
