Bake Oven
Part 2: Unpacking
General
Supplied in a wooden crate allowing forklift access from all four sides.
" provided with one side which, when folded down on hinges on its bottom
A forklift is not required to remove the oven from the pallet as the crate is
edge, forms a ramp. This ramp is used when unloading the oven from the crate
and has the word “RAMP” printed on its outer face.
When placing the crate into position for unpacking, ensure that the side with
the word “RAMP” is a minimum 4.5m (15 feet) from any obstruction. If,
however, there is insufficient space to give this 4.5m (15 feet) of unobstructed
floor, a forklift must be used to lift the oven off the pallet. See “Removal by
forklift” on page 2-3.
2 Remove the three cross members positioned directly on top of the Oven.
5 To remove the load from the timber support cross members, screw the four jacking
feet down from the base unit so as to support the Oven.
6 Remove the two timber restraints which tie together the two timber support cross
members.
7 Remove the two timber support cross members from underneath the base unit of
the Oven. Each timber support member consists of two pieces of timber (¾” & 1 ¼”
thick) separated by a layer of “Ethafoam” (2” thick).
9 Open all doors and remove any packages from inside the unit.
10 Transfer the weight of the oven onto its wheels by screwing the jacking feet up into
the base unit.
11 With the help of four people carefully push the oven off the pallet, down the ramp,
restraining it as it rolls, and into position on the floor.

This machine is heavy and must be restrained when unloading down the
"
The forks must be a minimum of 1.8m (6 feet) long.
Having placed the crate in the required position, remove the oven from the crate as
follows:
2 Remove the three cross members positioned directly on top of the Oven.
5 To remove the load from the timber support cross members screw the four jacking
feet down from the base unit so as to support the Oven.
6 Remove the two timber restraints which tie together the two timber support cross
members.

Electrical installation must conform to local regulations and guidelines.

The Postbake Oven is Class 1 equipment. The oven must therefore be
connected to earth to avoid electrical shocks.
When delivered, the oven may be configured for a supply other than the supply that is
locally available. Check and adjust as necessary by consulting the diagram below:
Initial power on
When the power is applied for the first time, the correct phase sequence can be
determined as follows:
If the alarm sounds for longer than five seconds, then the phase sequence is incorrect.
Isolate the machine from the building supply, then swap any two of the incoming
three phase supply cables at the isolator. Reconnect the power supply and power on.
The alarm should now be silenced after approx. five seconds.
Fuses
$
The fuses/MCB's must have a breaking capacity of min. 100kA. If using automatic
circuit breakers, make sure that they are Type D.
Cables
$
When deciding what type of cable to use take into account the chemical resistance
(chemicals may leak onto cable) and the mechanical resistance (operator may step
onto cable).
The conductors in the power supply cable should be of copper. Provide for
additional cable protection, e.g., cable covers, if cable is exposed to heavier
transport such as fork-lift trucks etc.
$
Ensure that the oven is accurately levelled from front to back, and side to side and
is not in any way twisted.

H3 H7
ON P4 Autotune
1 Switch on the main power supply. The green LED (H1) will light.
2 Press .
6 The oven will now run up to the required temperature, see the temperature display
on the Cal Unit.
7 If the oven temperature rises above the required setting then an audible alarm will
sound. In this instance the heaters will automatically switch off, the LED H6 will go
out (the fan and conveyor will continue to run), when the correct temperature has
been achieved again, the audible alarm will cease.
Electrical
See the electrical diagram at the back of the service manual.
Check function of:
• Emergency switches.
The Oven must turn off when just one of the switches is activated.
The oven is equipped with an audible alarm to indicate a problem with one or more of
the following:
4 The oven high temperature alarm on the CAL temperature controller has operated.
If the alarm operates, it will be necessary to investigate which of the above conditions
has caused the alarm.
1 Check the phase sequence/rotation relay (K1) located inside the electrical enclosure.
The LED is lit if the relay has detected correct phase sequence and voltage. Check
the condition of the three-phase supply to the machine. If all three phases are
present at the correct voltage, and if it is the first time that the machine has been
operated after installation, then the phase connection sequence may be incorrect.
Switch off the power supply to the oven and swap any two of the three phases
conductors connected to the supply side of the isolator. Switch on the supply to the
oven, switch on the oven isolator and ensure that no alarm is heard.
2 Check the fan overload relay, ST8, located in the electrical enclosure.
3 Check the oven over temperature limiter, K3, which is located on the right-hand
side of the machine underneath the front control panel. The device has a manual
reset. If the limiter has tripped, this may be as a result of a problem with the
recirculation fan or its associated circuits.
4 Check if the CAL controller alarm has activated. The alarm will be indicated by a
red/orange LED indicator together with the alarm annunciator –AL-, alternating
with the current temperature on the display of the CAL controller. This may be as a
result of a problem with the recirculation fan or its associated circuits, or the
temperature set point has recently been lowered.
