1. ROLE - SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNER

2. BUSINESS GROUP - SUPPLY CHAIN

3. LOCATION - SOUTHALL , LONDON


4. PURPOSE OF ROLE
Replacement for current Supply Chain Planner.

5. REPORTING AND KEY RELATIONSHIPS


Direct Report - EU Supply Chain Supervisor
Alastair Peat – EU Supply Chain Manager
Key Relationships – NPD, Sales, Suppliers, Logistics providers, Technical,
Warehouses and Wholesale.

6. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 Managing stock inventory in line with company targets and customer
demand
 Performing daily, weekly and monthly stock analysis and reports
 Actively strive to achieve site and supply chain KPI’s
 Participate in the development and continually improvement of the
supply chain systems and forecast accuracy
 Identify and analyse supplier performance and overall compliance
 Create logistics and supplier purchase orders
 Inventory control and demand planning for core warehouses.
 Coordinate and negotiate with low level suppliers for direct supply
 Able to work alone and un-supervised but still maintain a high level of
performance and efficiency
 Support the implementation of processes and procedures to optimise
stock holding, whilst maintaining a cost down approach to improving
supplier performance
 Work proactively with all relevant parties to ensure that new products
are brought to market on time, to agreed standards and within cost
 Work within Supply Chain Manager in implementing and maintaining
procedures and processes and system based solutions necessary to
drive continual improvement within the network focusing on key KPI
objectives in the critical areas of stock management, demand planning,
vendor management, service to customers and people performance

7. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING


 Demand Planning and Inventory Control experience within the food
sector with at least 3 years’ experience.
 SAP and Excel with at least 3 years’ experience.
 IT literate and have good ERP/MRP knowledge and experience. Currently
we use SAP APO
 International and national Logistics experience (preferred within the
food sector) minimum 3 years.
 An ability to work under pressure to tight and stringent deadlines

7. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS


 Supply Chain: Demand & Supply Planning/Inventory Management, Logistics
planning.

 Highly numerate and have a thorough proven understanding of Supply


Chain Planning within an FMCG environment
 Good organisational and communication skills are essential in this role as
are good problem-solving skills
 Able to demonstrate previous experience of coordinating the day to day
management of a complex MRP system

8. KEY MEASURES
KPI’s – Supplier Service Level, Stock Holding, Lost Sales and Customer Service

9. COMPETENCIES
 Pro-active, with a `can do` attitude.
 Passionate for supply chain and food industry
 Good communication skills and the ability to develop good cross functio
nal, and 
 collaborative working relationships.
 Must be able to juggle multiple tasks and cope calmly under pressure.
