A. COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course serves as an introduction to the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Korea. The course guides students towards understanding Korea's history and inherent and architecture,
religion, culture, and politics. This course also allows students to compare the cultural heritages of Korea and the Philippines and to suggest ways to effectively protect and promote their own
culture and history.
B. LEARNING OUTCOMES
The course is expected to enable students to
1. Develop cultural tolerance and ability to understand different culture through learning about Korean cultural heritages.
2. Recognize the value of the Philippine culture and legacy around us through learning about Korean cultural heritages.
3. Think about better ways to preserve and enrich the wealth of tradition in the Philippines through learning about well-maintained Korean cultural heritages.

E. CLASS REPORTING GUIDELINES


• Individual/Group Report
Please refer to the assigned readings and list of main references for your report preparation
Class report/s is/are responsible to research further on their topic assignments thus; references should not be limited to the assigned reading materials and list in letter D.
Group report should not exceed 20 minutes.
Students are encouraged to use power point and other visual materials like videos etc.

94 - 100 = A 70 - 75 = C

G. CLASSROOM POLICIES
Mobile phones should be turned off or put on silent mode in class. Each offense will merit corresponding consequences.
Laptops, iPads, iPods and any electronic gadgets should not be used in class, unless allowed.
