“RESOLVED, that the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants –

University of the East Manila (JPIA – UE Manila) is directed by its


Constitution to commence activities in achieving its objectives for the
advancement of its members.”

“RESOLVED FURTHER, that the JPIA – UE Manila Yearend Awards (YeA)


is an award giving body of NCR JPIA which recognizes the outstanding
performance of its members, executive officers, and other personalities
who exhibited their unending support toward the success of the federation
year.

“RESOLVED FURTHER, that JPIA UE Manila articulated and established


the Implementing Rules and Regulations in the Assessment of the Yearend
Awards (YeA) for the federation year 2014-2015.”

“RESOLVED FINALLY, that the Implementing Rules and Regulations in


the Assessment of the Yearend Awards (YeA) are deemed approved and
shall take effect immediately after its presentation to its members.”

IMPLEMENTING RULES AND
REGULATIONS ON YEAR-END AWARDS
2015
INTRODUCTION

The JPIA UE Manila Yearend Awards (YeA) is an annual event which


predominantly targets the giving of recognition and merits to the members
who have excelled the most in every aspect of being a member and who
have excelled the most in leading his/her co- JPIANS.

OBJECTIVES
(Subject to Modification)

1. Uplift the character and pride of the members by recognizing their


achievements and contribution to the Council.
2. Inspire the members to strive for continuous improvement and
excellence.
3. Enkindle the competitive spirits of JPIANs and encourage them to
show their skills and talents.
4. Promote fairness and honesty among JPIANs by the formulation of
reasonable criteria for each award and making it publicly known and
understood thereof.
5. Encourage the JPIANs to be achievers of their generation.

 Certificate of recognition plus token to adviser and professors who


exerted unequivocal support in the organization’s endeavours or who
served as mentors, counsellors, sponsors, etc.,
 Departments in the University of the East for this endearing help to
promote and complete the event
 Individual recognition or appreciation for important university people
such as Dean, ACLAT Chair, SAO director, student coordinator, etc.,
 Supportive sponsors and other personalities who got involved and
effected a significant contribution to JPIA’s accomplishments.

C. SELECTION PROCESS

C. 1. Primary Awards

C.1.1 Description

o Most Outstanding Executive Officer – The most outstanding


executive officer award is given to the executive officer who
exhibited most of astounding excellence, upright leadership
extraordinary commitment, favourable service, outward
discipline, and good relationships among the members as well
as his or her co- officers.

o Outstanding Executive Officers – The outstanding executive


officers awards are given to two (2) executive officers who
astounding excellence, upright leadership extraordinary
commitment, favourable service, outward discipline, and good
relationships among the members as well as his or her co-
officers.

o Junior Officer of the Year – The junior officer of the year award
is given to the junior officer who exhibited most among the
other junior officers; who showed his or her interminable
support and excellent effort in performing the tasks accorded to
him or her.

o Commendation for Exceptional Commitment – The


commendation for exceptional commitment awards are given to
four (4) JPIAns who consistently dedicated their time, effort,
skills, and knowledge throughout the federation year.

o JPIA’s Think Tank – The JPIA’s think tank award is given to any
JPIAn who exemplified and shared his or her wisdom, and
knowledge amongst his or her co- JPIAns and to the
organization most importantly.

o Rookie of the Year - The rookie of the year award is given to


any JPIAn who impressed other JPIAns because of his or her
exceptional will, excellence, passion, commitment, and
excellence to his or her work/s.

o Visionary Leadership Award – The visionary leadership award


is given to any JPIAn who showed and developed his or her
leadership, and communication skills through verbalizing his or
her dreams and goals for the triumph of the organization and of
the team. He or she should be an assertive communicator who
also is an active listener; who can catch the vision and uses his
or her charisma to achieve a consensus.

o Most Congenial Executive Officer – The most congenial


executive officer award shall be given to the executive officer
who had exhibited commendable congeniality as he or she
interacts and deals with his or her co-JPIAns.

o Best JPIAn in Performing Arts – The best in performing arts


award is given to any JPIAn who exhibited his or her enduring
skills in performing in front of the audience, either by singing,
dancing, acting, or hosting.

o Excellence in Digital Arts – The excellence in digital arts awards


are given to two (2) JPIAns who exerted their notable efforts in
doing digital artworks like AVPs, teasers, posters, ads, and the
like.

C.1.2 Mechanics

C.1.2.1 The process for selecting candidates for the primary


awards should be governed by the criteria, scored by the panel, and
a survey form coming from anonymous survey respondents
(representative from different classes, executive officers, professors,
office representative, and guest from other business administration
recognized student organizations, and adviser or ACLAT chair) Below
is the format of the survey form.

C.1.2.3 The selection process shall commence after the


midterm examinations through the final period, before the final
examinations. Thus, the deadline for the accomplishment of the forms
will be 1 week before the awarding ceremony. The ceremony shall be
held at the Conference Hall at date yet to be determined.

C.2.1 Description of the Awards

o Most Responsible Junior Officer (Count on me award) – The


most responsible junior officer award is given to the junior
officer who can count on; proving that directions are enough in
a person who has a sense of responsibility. The junior officer
whom you can leave the task to and knows what to do.

o Most Industrious Junior Officer (#JPIApamore award) – The


most industrious junior officer award is given to the junior officer
who is the living proof that intelligence is nothing without
diligence towards work.

o Most Resourceful Junior Officer – The most resourceful junior


officer award is given to the junior officer who is ingenious and
creative. The junior officer who always finds clever ways to
overcome difficulties.

o Most Obedient Junior Officer – The most obedient junior officer


award is given to the junior officer who never fails to impress his
or her superior.
o Most Attentive Junior Officer (Megamind-ful award) – The most
attentive junior officer award is given to the junior officer who
pays attention more than what you can expect. The junior
officer who is very mindful of his or her queries which can make
his or her superior think twice. He or she fears to overlook
simple things that might be essential to the success of an event
or activity.

o Male Singer of the Year – The male singer award of the year
is given to any male azzet member who showcased his
remarkable talent and shared the same among his co – singers
altruistically.

o Female Singer of the Year – The female singer award of the


year is given to any female azzet member who showcased her
remarkable talent and shared the same among her co – singers
altruistically.

o Male Dancer of the Year – The male singer award of the year
is given to any male moving average member who showcased
his remarkable talent and shared the same among his co –
dancers altruistically.

o Female Dancer of the Year – The female singer award of the


year is given to any female moving average member who
showcased her remarkable talent and shared the same among
her co – dancers altruistically.

o Best Academic Performance for Class – The best academic


performance award is given to the class that has the highest
Grade Weighted Average (GWA), awes almost all their
professors, always tops the departmental exams, and has the
ability to express clearly the ideas rightfully.

o Most Awarded Block in Academics – The most awarded block


in academics is given to the block that bags the most academic
awards; unstoppable in showing academic excellence, and
proves that JPIAns are one of the most intellectual yet
endangered students in the University of the East.

o Most Active Block – The most active block award is given to the
block section that gives full support to the JPIA, participates the
most in all its activities; has the initiative to help the
organization in any form, and shows wit and enthusiasm in
doing activities together.

o Most Awarded Block in Non – Academics – The most awarded


block in non-academics is given to the block section who
displays the epitome of wit and talent of the JPIAns; unleashing
all the potentials in all possible ways; expressing themselves
artistically, and is admired when it comes to skills.

C.2.2 Mechanics
C.2.2.1 The process for selecting candidates for the secondary
awards should be convened and chosen by the executive officers and
the adviser.

C.2.2.2 The nominations for the secondary awards should


emanate from the following:

 Junior Officer – Vice President for Internals and Externals


 Talent Pool – Vice President for Non - Academics
 Accounting Pool – Vice President for Academics

C.2.2.3 Below is the format of the nomination form.

C.3.4 Conferring Body - Executive Officers

ENFORCEMENT OF THE IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. It shall be the primary duty of the Local Chapter Vice President for
Audit and the Council to effectively enforce the provisions of this
Implementing Rules and Regulations.
2. The Local Chapter Adviser or his duly designated representative shall
act as legal adviser to the Local Chapter Vice President for Audit and
the Council and shall render legal assistance as may be necessary in
carrying out the provisions of this Implementing Rules and
Regulations.
AMENDMENTS OR REVISIONS

1. The Council shall be vested with the exclusive power to amend or


supplement this Implementing Rules and Regulations.
2. Any amendments to or revisions to this Implementing Rules and
Regulations may be proposed by any member upon a written request
of such member, stating the reasons thereto.
3. Any request for amendments and revisions as well as proposed
amendments must initially be reviewed by the Local Chapter Vice
President for Audit attested by the Local Chapter Adviser and then
forwarded to the Executive Officers for discussion, editing and final
approval.
4. The Executive Officers shall have the right to debunk any proposed
revisions and amendments, submitted to them by the Vice President
for Audit, which are deemed unnecessary. The final decision on any
inclusions and exclusions to this Implementing Rules and Regulations
must be determined by a majority vote of all Executive Officers in
which the Local Chapter Vice President for Audit is included.
5. Amendments to particular provisions in this Implementing Rules and
Regulations shall be allowed provided that such amendments shall
be communicated to the executive officers and directors during the
General Meeting prior to the staging of the event. In no case shall the
amendment or supplementation be made two weeks before the
Yearend Awards.

SEPARABILITY CLAUSE
If any clause, provision, paragraph or part of this Implementing Rules
and Regulations shall be declared unconstitutional or invalid, such
judgment shall not affect, invalidate, or impair any other part hereof, but
shall be merely confined to the clause, provision, paragraph or part directly
involved in the controversy in which such judgment has been rendered.

REPEALING CLAUSE

Any rule and regulation or resolution or part/s thereof inconsistent


with the provisions of this Implementing Rules and Regulations are hereby
repealed or modified accordingly.

EFFECTIVITY

This Implementing Rules and Regulations shall take its effect


immediately after presentation to the assembly. Promulgated in the City of
Manila this October 30, 2014.
