SPAIN:

Spain has 2 Core Network Corridors crossing its country of the nine Ten-T corridors: Mediterranean
corridor and Atlantic corridor.
The Mediterranean Corridor links the Iberian ports of Algeciras, Cartagena, Valencia, Tarragona and
Barcelona through Southern France, with link to Marseille, and Lyon to Northern Italy, Slovenia and a
branch via Croatia to Hungary and the Ukrainian border. It covers rail and road, airports, ports, RRT's
and, in Northern Italy, also the Po river inland waterway.

The Atlantic Corridor links the Spanish and Portuguese ports Algeciras, Sines, Lisbon, Porto and
Bilbao through western France and, with a link from Le Havre and Rouen, to Paris and further east to
Mannheim and Strasbourg. It covers rail, road, airports, ports, RRT's and the Seine as inland
waterway.

The refrigerate transportation in Spain is regulated by the A.T.P legislation (Accord Transport
Perissable). The A.T.P. European agreement became legislation in Spain in November 1976 and since
1986 is under the authority of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

Regulatory

Suitable locations for NomadPower where refrigerated vehicles are the toll motorways. These
motorways, including related rest and parking areas are managed by ASETA or assigned to
concessionaires companies under a convention that is stipulated between ASETA and the
Concessionaire company. ASETA is the government-owned company deputed to the construction
and maintenance of the Spanish motorways which is under control of the Spanish Ministry of
Infrastructure and Transport. The 27 concessionaire companies manage in total 14.981 km:(the
entirety of the Spanish toll motorways is 2973 Km) with 593 Service areas, 306 rest areas and 5.946
parking places available in toll motorways.

Usually every business activity along the toll motorway network like restaurants, fuel stations and
shops collaborate in a royalty system with the concessionaire companies. These concessionaire
companies are the decision makers when it comes to application of a solution like NomandPower.

Other locations where temperature controlled transportations work are Interports (logistic centers
with intermodal freight transports exchange), Logistic Center, Harbours and Private park areas.

Financial

The price of a liter of diesel, is 1.20 to 1.40 Euro excluding the Spanish VAT of 21%.

At a price of € 0,39 for a kWh (excl. VAT) of electricity with NomadPower, the
financial benefits for the truck company can be calculated as:

According to a study of Delft University students 1 the average diesel consumption at

-15°C is 1.37 liter per hour and at -5°C 1.04 liter per hour. The corresponding power
consumption figures when refrigerating on electricity are 3.12 kWh and 1.33 kWh. As
a rule of thumb, each hour that the on-board diesel generator is not used, saves
about € 0.50 in maintenance and depreciation costs. For each hour electricity is used
instead of diesel, the savings will be around € 1.30.

Compared to most other European countries the average temperatures in Spain are higher,
especially in the centre and south. This means we can expect an even higher consumption as well as
potential savings.
Vehicles under the sun need on average 30%-40% more time to reach the optimal internal
temperature, compared to vehicles in the shadow.

Key Prospects and Approach

The first approach in Spain for the official launch of NomadPower has been get in contact with the
concessionaire companies, Refrigerated transport companies and private truck parking owners.
A conclusion of difficulty to approach the concessionaire companies but an enthusiastic and
interested response from Private transport companies and parking areas on the NomadPower
solution, reduction of noise and CO2, are the main objective for this companies to achieve.
NomadPower is currently under negotiation with Red Tortuga S.L (oil Albera) and in communication
with Castillo Grupo S.L.
As a following step to introduce NomadPower in Spain to contact road transport associations,
Interports ,logistics centers and Harbours.

As mentioned above the decision to install NomadPower in rest/park areas along the motorways is
up to the motorway concessionaire companies, fuel companies and providers of food that operate
along the motorways need to know and approve NomadPower. For this purpose NomadPower has
been introduce to Abertis Autopistas and register as a provider for future negotiations, the above
shows the promising opportunities for the NomadPower solution in the Spanish market.
