I am Guyanese. I am a man. I am black. I am angry. Some would describe me as an angry, black

Guyanese man. I have no control over being Guyanese, being black, and being male. The only thing
I have control over is being angry or not be angry. With the circumstances surrounding me I feel I
have all right to be angry, and in this column I will express to you the basis for my anger. Some of
you will not see with me, but bear with me awhile. Listen to my story.
How could one not be angry seeing your country on the brink of economic power, knowing what that
could mean for all your brothers and sisters throughout the length and breadth of this land, only to
see at this moment of economic enrichment, Guyana is being torn asunder by actions of internal and
external forces manipulating our ethnic differences to stir up animosities, hate and destructive
thoughts.
How can one not be angry when some operate in ways to suggest that they are the guardians of
right and wrong in society, even as they blatantly violate those basic tenets that dictate right and
wrong, and cover their deeds with a pretensive cloak of uprightness. Sports
Anger is an appropriate emotion when one observes that those who set themselves up as morally
right, as victims, themselves are amongst the worst who seek to deny others their right.
Our recent example is a case in point, where one group exercises their right to file an injunction to
stop GECOM from declaring results until a recount was done, yet they turned around and sought to
denigrate a sister for similarly filing an injunction to stop an act that she believes was wrong. The
body fabric of our society has become so tattered.
We now witness persons society looked up to, being silent and condoning the transgression of right
and violation of due process in a court of law. How can one not be angry when you look around and
see persons of social standing supporting the disregard for the role of the court to weigh in on a
matter placed before it? How can they not expect anger at efforts to mask support for an action on

Do you have some information the rest of us do not? Because I cannot believe this is
the hill you are choosing to die on. You would compare the two injunctions, one
seeking to speak for the truth of the vote and the other to keep it locked in a group of
containers. No one can misinterpret the first injunction sought in earnest a
transparent and verified count. Can you say the same about the second injunction?
This truly is another National disgrace and yet here you are again, just defending it,
allowing it, and praying for it to continue. You claim the side of the law, but it is going
to look really bad if a rigging took place. The readers won't forget.

I think what Mr. Lewis is saying every one has access to ask the court to

this may rub some wrong but as a civil point it is not wrong. How can we

Stop distorting the facts, or maybe you don't understand what is taking place.
The injunction is not to stop a recount all together, it's to stop one that has no
legal/ constitutional support. > Berbice Bridge […]
You said that it's going to look bad if rigging took place. How would it look if it
didn't?

Please be reminded that the second 'chance' the AFC offered the PNC, this time
around, ( firstly, it was the UF.) with the governance of the country which they
squandered & miserably failed the people by subjugating them & have them in
bondage, will not go unchallenged to saddle the country with another 'dictatorship'!!

I have to say the collation is going above and beyond in keeping Granger's hand
clean and for him to look angelic and uncorruptable.
All the other parties have called for a recount of various regions and they were
immediately denied by GECOM. No injunctions were needed to be filed to stop them
because GECOM gave a definite no.

Granger's mantra is that GECOM is an independent body and he will not interfere in
its business. But that is playing with words because he will not interfere but others in
the party will do it for him. Also GECOM don't need any prodding to make sure
APNU always benefit from all of GECOM'S decision.
So when Granger called for a recount of region four along with Jagdeo it was so
blatantly obvious that he was continuing with the angelic uncorruptable role. He,
Granger would go down on record as seeming honest and unafraid of a vote recount.
But we all suspected that before he made the vote recount request, the plan was
already hatched with his cronies to file the injunction to stop the recount. I will go as
far as to speculate that he was guaranteed that the court would uphold the injunction
and stop the vote count. Now that is scary. So Granger again thinks he looks clean
and uncorruptable but even a two year old can see through what happened.
What should make you angry is Guyana has an organization that is incapable of
separating approx 750,000 pieces paper into less than ten piles and counting
tabulating them HONESTLY.
Some are using the courts for needed decisions to move forward, APNU is using the
courts to play for time. This has been happening since the NC vote

This is such self righteous convoluted hogwash, it boggles the mind that one can be
so berift of honor and integrity.
What a disgusting piece of desertion to justify the shameful masquerade that is
playing out in the country. While the world looks on.
I cannot imagine the barrenness of soul it would take to defend such shameful
childish antics.
It speaks of blind loyalty to dishonorable behavior. Lack of the meaning of integrity.
Zero self respect.
