EVANGELIZATION: BUHI SI KRISTO PROGRAM

MODE of TASK: GROUP

EXPERIENCE WORKSHEET

In the video, the group have observed that the life there is difficult but somehow,
the people are trying to survive in the everyday life. The vicinity is not that safe for
everyone to live but they do not have a choice because they are just living with their
parents since then, and they do not have enough income to look for another place to
live in. They just have enough food to eat and sometimes barely having a 3-times a
day meal because they prioritize the children whose living with them. The group can
also see in the video that they are really living a tough life, but such thought of being
incapable of surviving disappeared because of their perseverance to see order in a
chaotic life.
The main problem that the group observed, as they were watching the video,
were the need of job to have enough income to sustain the needs, like food and
shelter, not just for the adult but most especially to the younger ones, infant, elderly
ones and for those who are sick. Aside from that, they also need medical assistance
to check on their health from time to time since they are prone to various diseases.
Even though the group weren’t able to visit them personally, still, they
sympathize the predicament the people are currently facing. The group share the
same sentiment not because they are in the same situation but rather some of the
members of the group experienced the difficulty of managing their own funds,
especially those who are living in a boarding house, and managing their time
because they both have to focus on their studies and, at the same time, they are
working on a part-time job.
The group not just observe what they had saw in the video but also they are
putting their self in the shoe of the people who are the subject of this
project. They are human who are capable of having the same feeling like
being unhappy, struggling and hopeful.
The group realizes that there are lots of people who needed help, and gives
help without even asking anything in return. No matter how hard life could get, there
will always be someone who will help those in need. They, we rather, are the
instrument of God. We are everybody’s angel.

RESPONSE WORKSHEET

The group has decided to give a little gift for the family of each of the
interviewee as we went back to their respective houses. The following are the
sequence of event during the final visit of the group.

 The group went to the barangay captain’s office to inform him that we were up to
a final visit. The barangay provided a tanod for our safety purposes.
 The group went back to the first interviewee and asked her if she can still
remember our professor, Mr. Noel Arsolon, and the team and introduced
ourselves as their students and tell them that we visited because we want to
continue what our professor has started.
 One of our group mate introduced herself and share the the good news of God.
She share with them a bible verse from Psalm 40: “I waited patiently for the
Lord, He inclined to me and heard my cry.” She further explain the verse that
they should continue to trust God because God wants to prepare them for He
has planned something bigger and better. Every tears they shed, they are
looking for God, asking Him to grant all their prayers immediately and we all
know that He heard our prayers. The reason why God delayed all our prayers
not because He is not listening but because He wanted us to appreciate first the
little things He gave to us before He will finally give to us His plans, bigger and
better plan. She also added that we were inspired by her story because even
though she raised her child alone while being away with her husband, she
continued to be strong that even she almost give up and question the existence
of Him, she never lose her faith towards Him.
 After having a little sharing, we prayed and give them a little pack of goods and
medicine.
 The group went to the second interviewee, introduced ourselves and share the
good news of God.
 Another group mate wants to share a bible verse from Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind
and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God
forgave you." She told her the reason why she chose that bible verse for her
because she were so kind because even though her children has their own
family, she, second interviewee, still instill the “close family ties” virtue of a
Filipino. Even though she is not our mother, we feel her love as she welcomed
us in her humble home and she let her children’s family stay in there even if the
space is not enough for them to live.
 After a small talk, we prayed for their guidance and continuance faith towards
God, and the group gave a small pack of groceries and medicine for the family
to share. The group also gave a pre-owned clothes that each of the member
contributed.
 The group next visited the house of the third interviewee. The group introduced
their self to him and ask for a permission to share the good news of the Lord
starting with a verse from Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that seems right to a
man, but its end is the way to death.” This verse explains his situation which is
being addicted to his vices before because the third interviewee thinks that what
he did was right and the effects on his vices made him escape from reality. The
group explained to him that maybe God just gave him a challenge, the challenge
of faith because at the time of being fond of vices, he believes that it is the
only solution but by the time he decided to get his life straighten, that is the time
he go back to Him, much stronger relationship with Him.
 After that, the group gave him the medicines he need and a little grocery for his
family.
In every visit the group made, they made sure that it will end with a prayer, a gift
giving and a thank you for accepting them in their humble home. The group did not
make a promise to comeback but if given a chance, the group will choose to visit
them once again.
