XENTRY Passthru how to install

1. prepare windows sp1 x86 or x64 as an administrator, UAC off, internet off. (x64
is the way to go)
Notes:
Some windows update since 2018 make drivers conflict especially with windows 7.
You will get:
- an exclamation mark on display adapter hd3000 in device manager
- loosing the monitor from device manager
- a lot of bugs in the NIC card

2. run setup.exe from Xentry XDOS iso or Xentry Passthru iso

3. copy xentry missing pictures

x86 32bit
c:\program files\mercedes-benz\

4. install old keys loader for configassist (or startkeycenter if you use it)
purpose: to make configassit or startkeycenter accept keys from old xentry/das
developer keygen ( it is called 'old keys'). Select according to your win OS.

double click:
for windows x86 "old key loader for configassist or startkeycenter 32bit.reg"

fox windows x64 "old key loader for configassist or startkeycenter 64bit.reg"

and click "yes" to upload it to the registry. with this, now old key can be
accepted by xentry.

5. Run configassyst/startkeycenter to enter Xentry license key

6. Prevents xentry's key deleted and get "no access authorization code" when
diagnosing while online.

a. X4711 Methods.
Purpose: Introduce by Rocinante in 2012. It prevents xentry's key being deleted and
it is SAFE FOR SCN Online Coding

Xentry Internal Error (3.17)-3.175 "no access authorization code" after xenty
diagnose while online

COPY C:\ProgramData\LicDir\lic_key_2.dat to the desktop, rename it to

lic_key_2.x4711, and make this file READ ONLY
MOVE it back into the directory C:\ProgramData\LicDir\.
make sure the lic_key_2.dat file IS NOT read only while lic_key_2.x4711 file READ
ONLY...

7. install 2221-45 error fix

purpose: fix xentry error 2221-45.

8. install 3.91 error fix

purpose: fix xentry error 3.91

9. install das license 0 day fix

purpose: fix DAS license 0 day error (not for MB Bus). you can use this along with
DAS Standalone full size.

10. install passthru device driver

It depends on your passthru device

NOTES:

TIPS NO 2: Batch file to running DAS Standalone

Name: DAS32R2.bat
purpose: you get the floating ignition on/off menu
notes:
- copy das standalone to das\bin and it has to be named DAS32R2sd.exe
- replace the DAS32R2.bat in das\bin with this file
- make a shortcut to desktop and name it D A S
- change the icon to das icon

TIPS NO 3: DAS Simulation

Name: simdasa.bat
purpose: to add das simulation
notes:
- copy das standalone to das\bin and it has to be named DAS32R2sd.exe
- extract and copy the simdasa.bat in das\bin with this file
- make a shortcut to desktop and name it DAS SIM
- change the icon das sim icon

TIPS NO 4: DAS Ignition On/Off enabler

purpose: after coding or offline programming, DAS asks to ignition the vehicle off.
1. you do ignition vehicle off, but DAS is not recognized it and still asks
ignition off.
2. when you want to use the floating menu on/off, and it is grey

Solution:
A. The old way (grandpa way):
you have to edit with notepad, file global.sim in
c:\ProgramData\Mercedes-Benz\csd\writefil\sim

[GLOBAL]
IGNITION=ON

change
ignition from on to off vice versa. You can make two batch file and place it in the
desktop
ignition on.bat
ignition off.bat

B. The new way (gen-z way)

copy this file to desktop, when you need, just run it and it will definitely
activate/enable the floating ignition on/off menu.
