PROJECT OUTLINE

Aims

Breakfast programming has always been a significant segment for any broadcasting
organisation, and often called as the face of the channel. With the limitless
accessibility and bombardment of information through internet, it is very important
to understand the contemporary strategies and methods to engage audience with
compelling storytelling through the genres of infotainment. This 5-day
course aims to focus all the production phases of producing morning show including
content creation in limited time, archiving strategies, social media integration and
marketing techniques, utilization of transmedia and cross media to enhance its
reach and then shelf life.

Objectives
At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to:

 Understand the concepts of infotainment, entertainment based shows


 Create limitless compelling content for breakfast show
 Understand the effective procedures for pre-production to post-production of morning
show
 Translating the global context to local perspective and vice versa
 Explore various interaction strategies with audience

 Understand the concept of transmedia of cross media for such


programmes
 Experiment with various programming formats for Morning show
 Identify relevant talent and topics
 Interviewing techniques to make morning shows more interesting and
informative
 Managing talent and content resources
 Understanding the archiving strategies for the episodes

3. Guest co-ordination
a. Identifying relevant guests
b. Preparing guests for the topics
c. Brainstorming session with the talent for future episodes
4. Archival
a. Archiving strategies for daily morning show
b. Utilizing the power of meta-tags for offline and online search
5. Globalization through social media
6. Transmedia strategies for impactful programming
7. Co-cultural production with audience interaction
8. Working with the host(s) and technical team
9. Contemporary global trends in mornings shows
10. Presentation and graphics of mornings shows

Requirement
 Projector Screen along with sound facilities to project presentations and case
studies
 Writing material

Profile of Participant
 TV/radio producers/hosts/content writer of at least five years of experience in
television/radio programme production is an essential condition
 Upper age limit is 45 years
 Ability to understand, speak and write in English.
