Research Method Used

For this research, we will use mixed method research for us to be able to bring a more accurate data
with regards to our study. Mixed Methods Research integrates both qualitative and quantitative
research. It provides a holistic approach combining and analyzing the statistical data with
deeper contextualized insights.

Locale of the Study

This study will be based in PATTS College of Aeronautics with randomly selected students. The
campus consist of more than 1000 students. We will asked them based on our survey(What time
of the month students are on vacation and where do they usually stay at?)Aside from the survey
that will be handed out to them, they will also be conducting a short interview to them.

Respondents of the Study

AvTech Students-2

Research Instruments and Techniques

Using Research methods depends on your research goal.  It depends on what subjects
(and who) you want to study.  Let's say you are interested in how one agency will improve
their ticket sales to customers.  To answer these questions, you need to make a decision
about how to collect your data.  Most frequently used methods include:

 Observation / Participant Observation

 Surveys
 Interviews

One particular method could be better suited to your research goal than others, because
the data you collect from different methods will be different in quality and quantity.   For
instance, surveys are usually designed to produce relatively short answers, rather than the
extensive responses expected in qualitative interviews.
Data and Gathering Procedure

 Prepare the survey to be handed out to random students.

 Once it is filled out, interview them for more data statistics.
 Sort out the data based on their answers

Statistical treatment of Data

Out of the 10 students who were randomly selected, most of them want to travel within the
vicinity of the Philippines(usually in Boracay,Bohol,Tawi-tawi)are some of the respondents
answers. They save up some of their allowances during the 1st month of the 1st semester up until
the last month of the 2nd semester.Savings go around P 4000 to P 7000. Others opt to travel
outside of the country like Malaysia,Singapore or Korea. Their preffered month is on the Month of
April until May. 3 students preferred December because they want to visit their families during
the 2 week holidays.
