Week of March 30 - April 3 

This is a ​suggested pacing​ for students out on COVID-19 Quarantine.  


This week is focused on Unit 4 solely.​ Next week will wrap-up Unit 4 and begin Unit 5.

Monday, March 30 
- Review Unit 4 information, specifically including: 1. types of borders & specific 
geographic examples, 2. shapes of states & specific geographic examples, 3. 
centripetal & centrifugal forces, 4. devolution & historic examples 
Things to use for this review: 
○ Unit 4 Vocabulary Powerpoints 
○ Andrew Patterson videos 
○ Quizlets of vocabulary for Unit 4 OR Chapter 8 
○ Notes you took in class and the charts you created with partners 
○ Map quiz of the Balkan Region 
- Conflict Project → on Remind send me your phone number, we’re a small group 
and this way the slow app won’t mess us up :)  
- Optional: Meme Monday - share your BEST memes (made or found) on insta

Tuesday, March 31 
- African border disputes reading & padlet 
To make this meaningful, you must go back and read what your peers wrote 
about other border disputes. 
Everyone should comment on at least ONE post someone made from another 
border dispute → ie: #centrifugalforces like different ethnicities here! OR This 
is similar to the border dispute I know about between Russia and Ukraine … 
etc. etc.

Wednesday, April 1 
- Violent Problems in the Caucasus Region reading 
- Power of Place: Russia & its Neighbors → ​JUST the 1st HALF of the video 
- News Day → Find & read an article about a border/boundary. Post on padlet →

for a discussion 
ZOOM at 2:30 pm to discuss the news (approximately 30-40 minutes) 
- Optional: Wacky Wednesday → Jokes! 
Find a meme or picture to go along with a corny joke you KNOW or made 
up (can be related to AP HuGs, doesn’t have to be!) 
OR Record yourself or your parent telling a corny joke.

Thursday, April 2 
- DUE: COMPLETED​ the assigned ​FRQ​ on College Board Website ​by 3pm 
- ZOOM at 3:00​ to go over the ​FRQ & review content​ from it 
 
Friday, April 3 
- Types of Government → notes & readings 
- Have pro/cons for both Unitary and Federal government styles in your notes 
 
** AP College Board gives out MORE info!! Zoom will be scheduled after I learn more :)
