Leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act toward achieving a

common goals .

According to Cherry (2019),“ Autocratic leadership, also known as authoritarian

leadership, is a leadership style characterized by individual control over all decisions
and little input from group members “.
Characteristics of Autocratic Leadership :
- Limited Communication: The autocratic leader is not giving the employees the
chance to share their opinions and ideas.
- The leader makes the decisions without consulting others.
- The autocratic leader always dictates the decisions and works according to his own
believes and ideas.
- The autocratic leader Focuses on rules which limits creativity and development in
the work environment
