WHAT DID THE WRIGHT BROTHERS DO?
¿Qué Hicieron los Hermanos Wright?
 They were engineers. They studied aerodynamics.
They worked together. They made the first aeroplane.
 The first plane didn’t fly.
They didn’t have an easy job.
 Remember:
 Regular verbs take –ed: I work, I worked.
Irregular verbs have different forms: I speak, I spoke.
Los verbos regulares usan terminación –ed: I work, I
worked. Los verbos irregulares tienen diferentes formas:

 Ellos eran ingenieros. Estudiaron aerodinámica. Trabajaron

 Did they live in Germany?
No, they didn’t.
 Did they live in the USA?
Yes, they did.
 Use didn’t + base form of the verb in the negative.
 Use did + base form of the verb in the question.
Usa didn’t + forma base del verbo para la forma negativa. /
Usa did + forma base para la pregunta.
 ¿Vivían en Alemania? No, no lo hacían. / ¿Vivían
en USA? Sí.

 Remember
 Regular verbs end in -ed. Irregular verbs have different forms. I work, I worked. I eat, I ate.

 To form the negative, use didn’t + the base form of the verb: I didn’t work. I didn’t worked.

 To form the question, use did + the base form of the verb: Did you work? Did you worked?

 The past simple forms of to be are was and were: Was the food good? Were the children happy?
