Global Citizen Essay: Martin Luther King Jr.

Being a global leader in my opinion is someone who can make a difference and make a change
when it’s needed, someone who can be a voice for people who don’t have one, and someone who
stands firm in what they truly believe in. The Ambassador School of Global Leadership’s
mission is to shape our kids of tomorrow and hopefully make them into global leaders and
creating a better environment focuses on developing global learners. Aspects of leaders would be
someone who is trustworthy, responsible, and most importantly honesty.

A global leader has to be an example to others and someone people look up to. Martin Luther
King Jr. is an example of a global leader and can be described by others as someone who made a
difference in our society. One of his greatest achievements was becoming a symbolic leader in
the Civil Rights Movement. He was able to show his bravery, commitment, and his confidence
during those hard times. In order to reach his outstanding leadership one must be an example to
others.

In my journey through high school trying to become a global learner and citizen was crucial in
my academic life because this can shape me into the leader I’m supposed to be. I believe I’ve
mastered my global performance outcomes by going and surpassing my obstacles in school and
in my life. My experience of mastering the global performance outcomes has helped me find the
true meaning of becoming a leader. Leadership and confidence are key essentials in becoming a
global learner and citizen. There is no argument that trying to achieve these qualities of a global
learner has improved my overall mindset and helped me for my future on trying to become a
global leader.

Global learners and leaders can contribute to our society as they are able to lead and build a new
and improved environment for our future. Someone who has not achieved global competency
can’t become a leader because once they fail they’ll always think they can’t achieve what they
haven’t even tried. I will one day contribute to my society because I know one day I will become
a leader. Global learning and engaging is crucial in the world because I need to be able set an
example for others. Therefore, I want to make that difference and be a leader to others.

In Conclusion, a global citizen will always be that person people will look up to and will be an
exceptional example for others. They will always be a strong leader that will be open to listening
to other people and their different opinions. A leader has to be open minded , positive and mature
compared to others. I recognize the importance of being a global citizen and I want to be an
example for others and I believe that I can achieve that.
