WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAMS INSTRUCTIONS

WRITTEN EXAM
Wednesday, September 19

This week you can take the written exam during class time. If
you want to take the written exams at a different time on
Wednesday, or on Friday please let me know.

FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT TAKE THE EXAM TODAY AND ARE
TAKING IT ON FRIDAY, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

EXAM INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Send the Product Plan before the exam (see instructions
in Weekly Agenda 6)
2. Connect to class and let me know you are ready for the
exam.
3. Connect to Skype and send me a message saying:
TEACHER I AM READY FOR THE EXAM
4. I will send you the exam on Google Drive, you can start
taking the exam on Google Drive (if you do not know
how to use Google Drive, please look at the attach
document before the exam)
5. Keep your camera connected on Skype. I will be calling
you during the exam to supervise you as you take the
written exam
6. Please let me know when you are finished, so I can save
the exam in my computer.

ORAL EXAM 1 INSTRUCTIONS:

REPORT OF YOUR PROJECT PROPOSAL

Thanks again for your commitment to continue working in your

English Learning Process, specially, to those who worked so hard
in their WRITTEN EXAM 1. First, you were asked to prepare a
PLAN FOR THE Proposal for a High Tech PRODUCT. Then, you
wrote your PROPOSAL during the FIRST WRITTEN EXAM. Now,
you are going to present that Product to the class.

This ORAL PRESENTATION will receive 10% of your final grade.

Since I will be grading your exams, and I might not have time to
grade them and send them to you, you can use your plan to
prepare the PowerPoint Presentation and as a guideline to speak
during the oral exam.

How to prepare for your ORAL REPORT?

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. READ THE RUBRIC: The first thing you should do to prepare

the Oral Presentation is to read the Rubric attached at the
end of this document. Understand the criteria of this oral
report and pay attention to the special aspects to be
graded.
2. PREPARE A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION
3. PREPARE TO TALK 5 to 10 MINUTES (no more)

 Be prepared to answer questions from me or your
classmates (if you present during class time)
4. Be prepared to explain new concepts or key words used
during your presentation, shall you consider it necessary
for better comprehension of your presentation.

CRITERIA TO BE GRADED IN THE REPORT

This is what I am going to be looking for during your oral

presentation:

1) Fluency: speaking at a comfortable speed at ease and

naturally
2) Vocabulary: familiarized with related vocabulary words
3) Sentence Structure: correct use of sentences in your
speech.
4) Pronunciation: correct pronunciation of words (the
accent is not important, but the pronunciation of KEY
words is important)
5) Intonation: According to the type of sentence you are
using, the intonation of the complete sentence will vary.
If you are not sure about the pronunciation, intonation
of a word or sentence, ask me BEFORE the day of your
exam.
6) Visual Aid: you must use a PowerPoint presentation,
with images/illustrations of your PRODUCT, key words,
and important facts. (you may use parts of your PLAN
but you cannot read them).
7) IN THIS EXAM YOU SHOULD EXPLAIN YOUR PRODUCT.

 You should not read the Plan, if you READ during the
exam, this will bring your grade down.
8) We will present your product in the WIZIQ Platform,
during class on Friday, September 21.

THE POWERPOINT

You need to prepare a short POWERPOINT with illustrations,

graphics and FEW WORDS.

A SHORT PowerPoint Presentation: 1 to 3 slides
(diapositivas)
 Use only images related to the TOPIC: YOUR PRODUCT
 Do not use complete paragraphs from your Written
Proposal or PLAN.
 USE ONLY SHORT SENTENCES, IDEAS, KEY WORDS.
 Send me the PowerPoint Presentation on Thursday, so I

can put it in the Platform before class.
