Q1: In which stage is the product?

The product is in its “Pioneer Stage” since the advertisers are trying to convince the children to
come towards the brand since they are market segment that are still unaware of the new product
which is “ Prince choco orange” and they must be convinced to associate the brand with the
animated character and the new flavor. Prince has already established its brand image but the
children are a market segment that must be convinced to go for this brand over the competitor.

Q2: Should we use pioneering advertising to attract new users?

Prince should do “Pioneer Advertising” from time to time to convince the customers who are not
aware to move towards our new product like children who like different flavors must be aware of
this product which they’ve introduced recently. This will be the only segment in the need for the
convincing of the customers since Prince has already established a market for itself being in the
public eye for such a long time.

Q3: Should we work harder at competitive advertising to obtain a large market share?
Yes, Prince should work hard in “Competitive Advertising” since the competitors are taking
away a big chunk of the market share which Prince can capture to maximize its profit margin.
Competitive advertising should be a constant phase for a brand like Prince since it needs to gain
the customer base of the competitor so the Brand continues to grow and flourish.

Q4:What portion of our advertising should be pioneering ? Competitive?

The Area where we need to convince the customers who are not aware about Prince is where we
need to do “Competitive Advertising” since there are alot of competitors who have gained the
large market share eg: Oreo ,Rio, Jam heart. Also the people who live in the rural areas for them
we can use “Pioneer advertising” as they are very less aware of the brand and association so
Print Ads and hoardings can be used to reach out to them using the brands colour schemes and
iconic logo with the cartoon character.

Q5:Are we coasting in the retentive stage?

Yes, Prince exists in the “Retentive Stage” because it has established an image since it has been
in the public eye for decades now so there exists a large age group that already relates with the
brand and associates it to its cartoon character, logo or colour scheme so that market segment
must be retained since that is also a big market share which the brand cannot afford to lose.
