SCHOOL CULTURE AUDIT – QUESTIONNAIRE

1 Background to the questionnaire

1.1 This questionnaire is being used as part of a school culture audit to support
the whole school improvement programme. It is being completed by
academic, support and administrative staff.

1.2 NOTE This introductory section of the Questionnaire will need to be


tailored to suit the way you are intending to use it. For guidance on
how to undertake a school culture audit and use the Questionnaire
see Section 1 of Financial Management Standard Toolkit item R18
Guide to Culture Management.

2 Notes for the completion of the questionnaire

 Complete Part 1 providing profile details about you by ticking the


appropriate box for each section. (NOTE: This is to help us analyse the
results rather than identify the respondents.)

 Complete Part 2 taking each statement in order.

 Please don’t discuss the statements with colleagues.

 If you basically agree that a statement applies to your school, then place
a tick in the box adjacent to the statement number.

 If you don’t agree with, or are unsure about, the statement, then leave the
box blank.

 Work through the statements giving your immediate response.

 Ignore grey reference letters are they are provided only to aid subsequent
data analysis

 On completion, please put the questionnaire in the envelope
