3. Tap on the Login icon in the home screen
4. Enter username
5. Enter password
6. Tick the remember me checkbox
7. Tap on the Login button

3. Tap on the Sign Up icon
4. Enter the email address
5. Enter he mobile number
6. Enter the password
7. Tick on the term & condition apply
8. Tap on the Sign Up button
9. Tap on the Already Have Account link

Heuristic evaluation

1. Visibility of system status:

The system will show the user that the login screen that the username and password that is
entered incorrect and show the user that please enter the correct username or password in the
fields after that while the user tap on the login button that the user input the correct
information in the correct field that the system will pop up the information that the user has
successfully login into the account. Furthermore, for the sign up screen that the user enter the
incorrect name, email, IC number, mobile No, password and incorrect confirm password that
the system will show up that the user has entered the wrong information in the fields and after
that the user enter correct information in the correct field and click on the sign up then the
system will pop up account has been created successfully. According to it that the design of
the first prototype didn’t have enough system status that because for the login screen that
didn’t consist of the create an account link that redirect the user to the sign up screen that the
user should only can go to the sign up screen by tapping the back and the sign up icon in the
home screen and for the sign up screen that while the users already have the account that
cannot redirect to the login screen it’s a bit not visibility and for the icon of the field that
made the login and sign up screen not that professional because that teenager might like it but
overall the older man or the professional people will not like that because it will made that
the application is not too professional.

2. Match between system and the real world:

The login screen and the sign up screen is overall same as the real-world sign up form for the
user to like become the membership of the certain company or sign up their information for
creating bank account with form, create food membership card with form and there are some
of the e-commerce website that using the same sign up and login that we has considered to
analyse those website sign up and login and so that we found out for the sign up and login
screen need to be more comfortable, simple and the user should just enter the important
inform in the field either than enter many of the personal information without any of the
usage because that for the sign up screen there are many type of it that consist of many of the
personal information so that we decided we can just enter the few field that is most important
for it.

3. User control and freedom:

In the login screen that the user has no freedom that in the login screen that the user
wanted to create a new account that the user needed to tap on the back and tap on the sign
up icon so that to create a new account so that there are a way that for the login screen
that can add on a create account button link for the user to redirect to the sign up screen
that might be more user control and freedom and therefore for the sign up screen that
while the user has already have a account for the LFS cinema that the user can only back
to the home screen and tap on the sign in icon that is not that freedom and the user can’t
just with a tap redirect to the sign in screen.

4. Error prevention:

Sign up screen that while the user has entered the wrong information in the field that the
system will show up that the certain field has entered the wrong information with the word
please enter the valid info in the field that has occurred in the login screen that the show up of
the wrong information occurred before and after the user tap on the button of login or sign up
but then for the sign in screen that the user have forgot password that the user must enter the
email first therefore can tap on the forgot password button there might be not that error
prevention that the sign in screen forgot password can just redirect to the other screen that the
user can enter the email in the field and tap on the retrieve password for finding the previous
password that might be having the better error prevention.

5. Flexibility and efficiency of use:

The sign in screen that doesn’t exist of the tick box that enable the user to remember their
previous entered password and that might cause some of the user not that convenience and
the login screen didn’t have the link that enable the user to redirect to the sign up screen. For
the sign up screen that the personal information fills up field that have too many of it and
some of it is not that efficiency that it only used to record the user personal information and
didn’t have the other usage so that can try to erase some of the unwanted field to easier the
user to create a new account.

6. Aesthetic and minimalist design:

The sign up screen that consist of too much of the personal information that some of the
information is not used for their sign in screen to sign in their account so that can erase some
of the useless field that didn’t have any usage.

7. Help users recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors:

The sign in screen and the sign up screen consist of that while the user enter the wrong
information in the field that will show that the user enter wrong info and please enter the
valid info therefore there are also the forgot password help the user to recover their password.

Login screen
The login screen that from the previous that the first column that is the email address that the
new prototype is changed to username because that from the suggestion from the
questionnaire and the research from the internet that the user is much like that the first
column be the Username and password. After that the new prototype have add on the
remember me tick box that enable the user to remember the previous username and password
that the user will be more convenience that either way the user forgot their password that the
user also can login into their created account. After that, the new prototype have created the
forgot your password link so that the user tap on it can redirect to the forgot your password
screen that enable the user to enter their email to retrieve password to the user email that from
the previous prototype there is no the forgot password screen that the user just enter their
email in the login first column therefore then tap on the forgot password link will retrieve
their password but then the bad is the user is able to retrieve their password with the email
that entered but then the instruction is quite messy that the user yet didn’t enter the email and
tap on the forgot password will pop up a notification that the user should enter the email that
the instruction is not enough clear so that I have created a screen for the forgot password to
convenience the user.

The new prototype that for the registration screen that have add on the logo so that the screen
seems to be good-looking and therefore deleted some of the field that is literally unnecessary
and the field that the users recommended that is quite bad and therefore decided to delete
some of the unnecessary field and left few of the important personal information field there
so that the user might can completed their sign up faster and more efficiency. Therefore for
the field that the second prototype have decided to change the icon be more specialized and
for the mobile number field have add on the first two number of the mobile number to guide
the user that the mobile number should be write with 60+ somethings that have guide the user
won’t input the wrong information. The new prototype that got one more function that the
user can tap on the already created account and then will redirect the user to the login screen
instead of needed to back to the home screen and tap on the login icon to redirect to the login
screen.

Usability testing

Sign Up Screen
The overall organization of the information in the sign up screen is rating neutral and bad that
the user is not satisfied by the sign up form field that the user personal information field is too
much for them to enter and these field some of it is not necessary that the field and be deleted
so that to shorter the sign up process and the user might be more convenience that no need to
enter too much of the unnecessary personal information. Therefore, there the sign up screen
didn’t have the good organization that didn’t have the link that the user can redirect to the
login screen immediately therefore got the commend of the user that suggest can try to add on
the already created account link to the login in screen so that the user might be more
convenience from using the sign up screen. Furthermore because of the above problems that
the user needed a lot time to operate the sign up form and that make the user

The overall feel about the organization of the information and the feedback of the login
screen is bad that the user not too like about the organization of the login screen that the
screen should have more function right there that the user suggested can either add on the
remember me tick box so that the user no need to enter the user and password every time they
want to login their account and therefore for the forgot password is that the feedback is quite
bad that the user should enter their email in the field then can tap on the forgot password so
that the user might have suggestion that change it will be better. Furthermore, the user while
at the login screen that needed to tap back and tap the sign up icon to redirect to the sign up
screen that is not too convenience therefore some of the user in the questionnaire suggested
that the login screen can have a create a new account right there for the user so that the user
can redirect to the sign up screen easily.
Conclusion

In this assignment that for the prototype that we learned much about the human computer
interaction that since the first prototype we have learned that to design and improve the
existed LFS cinema application for the home screen, login screen, sign up screen and so on.
Therefore, we conduct evaluation for the first prototype that conduct heuristic evaluation on
the design that consist of visibility of system status, match between system and real world,
user control and freedom and so on. Therefore, have the task and sub-task for it that’s the
hierarchal task analysis, and for the evaluation on first prototype have the heuristic evaluation
and the usability testing and the results of it. From those content that we have learned about
how to perform the evaluation and so on to redesign and improved the previous prototype so
that meet the user requirement and their expectation toward the application. so that we knew
which part of the prototype that needed to be improved and therefore we started the second
prototype that according to the evaluation after the first prototype that we redesign and
improve the application interface and the function of the application with the user’s feedback
and the HCI design principles and the latest HCI research.

Conclusion that HCI is an important knowledge and subject for us that we have learned about
how to evaluate application and create prototype for it and redesign and improve the first
prototype. Furthermore, from this assignment we have learned about the importance of the
teamwork and the way to distribute the task to each of the member so that they can done their
task in advanced.
