Key points on how Our Teachers and College can be upgraded

St. Francis Xavier’s girls’ School & College is one of the oldest educational institutions in
Dhaka. It began its College function in 2017 and since then this newly established institution has
been endeavoring with the combined efforts of college authority, lecturers and office staffs to
ensure quality education for the students. As a lecturer of the college I suggest the followings
key points to be prioritized -

1. Erecting a college building has become a must for accommodating the students
increasing yearly. Many students demand extra classes but taking extra classes in the
teacher’s room is not congenial and well accommodating as teachers cannot
accommodate in one room then. Besides, shifting time frequently creates discouraging
impression among the guardians.
2. We need a student’s common room for our students.
3. We have a library but books and facilities in the library need to be increased so that
students can read dailies, magazines and reference books to enhance the horizon of
knowledge and adapt more to the academic questions based on creativity.
4. We need an ascertained teacher (Madame) to deal deep with the matters of students’
absenteeism, attending late, uniform check and the likes.
5. It would be convenient and healthful if white board can be facilitated. Some of our
students feel disinterested to sit first bench because of the dust flying into their nose.
6. Initiating a monthly magazine by our college students can extend the creativity of our
students, which can be beneficial as academic questions are all creative. We can engage
our Bengali and English teachers to guide them in this respect.
7. Our teachers are all good but mutuality and cordiality among our lecturers needs to be
enhanced more.
