Lesson AIMS:
- to predict the answers from a reading activity
- to scan for specific info
-to use vocabulary and words related to nouns in order to finish a task
- to give information about topics
-to develop students’ speaking, reading, listening and writing skills
Objectives:
- to identify countable and uncountable
-to use previous vocabulary
-to recognize quantifiers and amounts in order to fill a given exercise
-to express interest in solving different types of exercises.
TIME: 50 minutes.
Activity 1 (3 minutes) –Warm up
The teacher greets the students and asks who is absent. She tries to create a
positive atmosphere.
Activity 2 (5 min)
Teacher’s activity
The teacher asks the students to remember their last lesson
About what we have talked last time?
What was our last lesson?
Who was Superman?
When those characters were created?
She announces the lesson – My hero and the objectives:

They give information and try to answer the questions

Activity 3 ( 10 min)
Teacher’s activity
The teacher tells the students that they will hear five people speaking in five
different situations. The students will match each extract from ex 1/57 with the
topics given.
In the same time will get worksheets with the words spoken by each person.
Their task is to guess based of what they listened who was the speaker for each
sentence

Activity 4 (10min)
Teacher’s activity
The teacher asks the students what tenses they revise last semester.
They get some worksheets with different exercises in order to practice time and
tenses they know. (Annex 1
Student’s activity:
They work in pairs

Activity 5 - (10 min)
Teacher’s activity:
The teacher writes on the board the following: ‘’I’m hungry!’’
She asks a student to repeat the sentence.
The she asks another student to tell what the other colleague just said.
Then she tries to explain that the tip in reported speech is to move the tense
back.
What does it mean?
It means that when you say something about someone, for example:
‘’I am dating Maria , the most beautiful and coolest girl from school!’’
‘’But don’t tell anyone, it’s a secret.’’
You do what ? tell everybody, like this:
He dated Maria last night. He told me that he was dating her last night.

Activity 6 (10 min)
Teacher’s activity :
The students gets worksheets with exercise and they have to put the
sentences into the correct tense –annex 2
