Introduction
As part of its Applications Unlimited Program Oracle continues to invest in PeopleSoft applications on
an ongoing basis, including frequent delivery of significant new functionality on its latest 9.2 release.
Customers can selectively adopt new features and enhancements using the PeopleSoft Update
Manager.
o In general, new capabilities delivered in Update Images do not require additional software
license fees, but Oracle reserves the rights to decide if some specific new features and/or new
products can require new software licenses.
o PeopleSoft Update Images have no effect on Oracle support policies. A detailed listing of
support periods for each PeopleSoft product family and release is included in the Lifetime
Support Policy Overview data sheet, which is available on Oracle.com
(http://www.oracle.com/us/support/lifetime-support/index.html).
The Fluid User Interface (Fluid UI) continues to be one of the most exciting and revolutionary new
features PeopleSoft has delivered in years. PeopleSoft HCM and ELM plan to continue to deliver self-
service applications that can be used from multiple devices (smartphone, mini-tablet, tablet,
laptop/desktop) and which provide an optimized user experience across different form factors.
Employees no longer need to use a single device to get their job done. The adoption of mobile
technology (smartphones/tablets) has grown exponentially in the last few years, and your employees
expect to be able to do their job from wherever they are. PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface has enabled
PeopleSoft applications to deliver solutions that are optimized for multiple devices. The user experience
is now consistent across different form factors since the applications are fluid, responsive, and adjusts
to the device being used.
This document describes functionality that has been delivered in the following areas:
o Absence Management
o Enterprise Learning Management
o ePay
o ePerformance
o eProfile Manager Desktop
o Global Payroll
o Global Payroll for Brazil
o Global Payroll for Switzerland
o Global Payroll for UK
o HelpDesk for Human Resources

Update Image Highlights Videos do not replace our extremely popular Video Feature Overviews which tend to be
more robust and thorough explanations of a specific type of functionality. Instead, the Highlights videos allow
viewers a quick visual and audio description of major new features delivered in an image.
Absence Management
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to Absence
Management.
Absence Enhanced Integration with Time and Labor
With the new enhanced integration between Absence Management and Time and Labor, Absence or
Time and Labor Administrator can run the Absence process iteratively and create Payable Time for
Absences. It is no longer needed to finalize the absence calendar to send the Absence to Time and
Labor.
Additionally, exceptions generated by the Absence process will be automatically notified in the new Run
Control page.
Forecasting results and details are added to the Approval Absence transaction within the fluid
Approvals solution. This helps the user to select only those requests whose Forecasting or Eligibility
result is eligible, for approval. Also, the user can review the Forecasting Results within the Absence
Request detail page.
ePay
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to ePay.
Enhancements for Payroll for North America
Image 22 includes the following ePay enhancements to support PeopleSoft Payroll for North America:
United States employees can now use the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface to give or withdraw consent for
electronic W-2 and W-2c year-end forms.
• Configurable confirmation for updatable PDF withholding forms (requires PeopleTools 8.55.07 or above).
When employees submit tax withholding changes using updatable PDFs, the confirmation message
appears in a separate PDF file that opens when the transaction is complete. Previously, this confirmation
PDF always included a copy of the newly updated withholding form. Now administrators can configure
forms so that the confirmation does not include the updated withholding form.
PeopleSoft ePay now enables your employees to review, edit, and add bank account and payment distribution
information using the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface.
The Banking page displays an employee’s accounts along with the methods by which net pay is distributed to those
bank accounts.
Employees can click an account or distribution to edit it, or you can click the Add button to create a new account or
distribution.
ePerformance
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to ePerformance.
Enhancements
ePerformance delivers these enhancements on the Document Template component in image 22:
• New setup options to include document sections in the Define Criteria step and the Track Progress step
individually.
Before the enhancement, a document section could be set to include in both Define Criteria and Track
Progress steps, or none. This enhancement splits the option into two separate ones. Now administrators
have the choice to include sections in either step, both steps, or none of them on document templates.
Before the enhancement, managers had the ability to add file attachments when they worked on manager
evaluation documents. In this enhancement, the file attachment capability is extended to employees on
their self-evaluations.
Template setup option to allow employees to attach files on their self-evaluation documents
The default values in all of the fields come from the position of the employee whose position is being cloned. Unlike
other guided self-service transaction, there is no requirement for the user to change any data. However, there is also
no requirement to retain any of the data. Managers are free to keep all, some, or none of the default values in the
visible fields.
Additionally, any transaction that includes the Standard Hours field now includes a display-only FTE (full-time
equivalent) field. The system automatically calculates and displays the FTE value when the manager changes the
employee’s standard hours.
• Personal competencies
• Responsibilities
• Special projects
Global Payroll
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to Global Payroll.
COBOL Trace Tool
Payroll administrators often encounter scenarios where payrolls goes into error for a particular employee or the
payroll calculations do not produce the expected results. It takes a lot of effort for payroll administrators to analyze
these errors and understand all of the transactions happening in background.
The Global Payroll COBOL Trace Tool enables provides payroll administrators a step-by-step method of tracing
payroll calculations.
A new group box on the Debug and Tuning Options page enables you to configure how detailed of a COBOL trace
you want to run.
Once the trace file is generated, you can use the new COBOL Log Viewer to view the data selectively, streamlining
your analysis.
Adding earnings and deductions to wage types tables on the Wage Types Table page
Wage types table event reports are processed for companies on the eSocial Basic Initial page (for initial loading)
and eSocial Basic Table Event page (for online transactions).
Payments conform to ISO 20022 Standard for Global Payroll for Switzerland
Within the Swiss payroll application, employee payment information gets transferred – beginning
01/2018 (Post Finance) and 07/2018 (other receiving banks), using the Swiss derivative of ISO 20022.
ISO 20022 replaces the former DTA (data exchange by file) and the EPO (electronic payment order) format.
GP Switzerland uses the existing framework (Swiss XML dashboard) to create Swiss
ISO 20022 XML.
On successful generation of P45 report, Employee will receive their corresponding P45 either by E-Mail
or can view in ESS as per the set-up.
Recruiting Solutions
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to Recruiting Solutions.
These enhancements all relate to PeopleSoft Candidate Gateway.
New Search Option on the Fluid Candidate Gateway Careers Page
In Fluid Candidate Gateway, you can now configure the Careers page to include a search option that immediately
displays jobs that were posted in the last nn days, where nn is a number that you choose. For example, you can
give applicants the option to quickly view all jobs posted in the last 7 days.
Use the Site Setup page to activate the new View Jobs Posted in Last nn Days option by specifying a non-zero
number of number of days.
On the Careers page, the new search option appears along with the previously existing option to display all jobs, up
to the maximum number of search results. The previously existing option is now labeled Search All Jobs instead of
Search Latest Jobs.
• The My Job Applications page now shows a status of Not Eligible if the applicant failed prescreening and
was therefore unable to complete the job application. (Fluid and Classic)
• The Application Summary page now includes a contextual header that identifies the job or jobs for which
the applicant applied. (Fluid only)
• Informational text related to keyword searches and search results has been improved. (Fluid only)
Example of the Activity Guide Composer – Template pages and where to configure steps for your activity guides
The PeopleSoft application delivers definitions and templates to support your activity guide business processes.
You can also create your own data or use the cloning feature to copy the delivered templates and customize
according to your organizational needs. The Activity Guide Composer also enables organizations to assign an
activity guide template to a person based on a set of rules you define using the Template Assignment feature.
When you are done setting up your activity guides, you can deploy them to your workforce through business
process specific fluid pages, such as the delivered fluid OnBoarding and fluid Life Events pages, or you can use the
My Activity Guides page. The My Activity Guides page provides a centralized location where you can deploy activity
guide templates to your users without having to create a custom page. Users can access activity guides to which
they have been granted access to start new instances of activity guides, review and access activity guide instances
already in progress, and, if given access, start or delete instances of activity guides.
OnBoarding
PeopleSoft delivers the OnBoarding feature using the Activity Guide Composer functionality, which is designed to
improve the deployment and management of fluid activity guides. New employees can access the OnBoarding
activity guide to complete predefined steps and pages required during the hire process. The activity guide will track
and maintain the user’s progress and streamline the hire process to help ensure a successful transition into the
organization.
PeopleSoft OnBoarding also enables you to embed video steps and transcripts into the activity guide as well as the
ability to enable the user to view, download, and to attach documents.
Benefits
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to Benefits.
eBenefits: Fluid Life Events
Life Events are now available as fluid pages. The application appears within the context of an activity guide using
the Activity Guide Composer life event templates, to display the steps a user has to perform.
Organizations can still use the classic Live Events Self Service pages, or access the fluid Life Events pages by
accessing the Benefit Details tile delivered on the Employee Self Service fluid home page.
Like classic, the system comes with the fluid Adoption, Birth, Divorce, and Marriage life events templates ready to
use, or you can create and manage your own templates using the Activity Guide Composer and new Benefits pages
for fluid.
eCompensation
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to the eCompensation
application.
Fluid Total Rewards
The Fluid Total Rewards Statement provides managers, employees, and administrators graphical and tabular
representations of employees’ full compensation and benefits packages. It increases employee awareness and
appreciation for the complete employment package that an organization offers, keeping employees engage in
fostering excellence in their jobs, and retaining loyalty.
In this image, new columns are introduced to display total amounts on desired section grids of the statement. They
include:
• Employer Total: Displays the total of employer paid and employer provided amounts for a reward item.
• Employer-Employee Contribution: Displays the relative employer and employee contributions for a reward
item in a horizontal bar widget.
• Percent of Total Reward: Displays the percentage of the total employer and employee amounts for a
reward item in the overall total amount for all reward items.
New section columns on the Fluid Total Rewards Statement show total employer and employee contributions for each reward item
Display of total employer and employee contribution amounts for a reward item on the Fluid Total Rewards Statement on small form
factor
The display of these new section columns on total rewards statements is enabled through template configuration.
From the template, administrators control what and how employee reward information is best displayed for each
section of its statements. A link is available for administrators with permission to preview the fluid statement, which is
constructed using the currently saved configuration and is displayed in a new browser window or tab. It allows
administrators to toggle between the template and fluid statement as many times as needed and refine the template
configuration.
Existing dashboards also contain new tiles to enable managers to review the skills and training an employee has for
a chosen career. The Summary dashboard now includes the Job Interests, Education, and Career Plans summary
tiles and the Compensation Review dashboard enables you to view a history of bonus amounts received by the
employee over the past several years.
Example of the Element Browser comparing two effective dated versions of the same element.
In addition, for Global Payroll rule packages that have been imported and compared, you can click the new View
Element Browser Compare button on the Package Elements page to view the updated elements in the Element
Browser.
In this image, additional periodic events are delivered to support the reporting of payroll and termination information
to the government for specified pay periods. These events are:
• Complementary information to Periodic Events (event used to report company’s tax exemption
information)
• Reopening Periodic Event (event used to reopen a closed period for processing eSocial events)
• Closing Periodic Event (event used to close a period for processing eSocial events)
• Employer Union Contribution (event used to report company’s union contribution information)
Processing of events to report payroll, payment, tax examption and union contribution information s on the eSocial Payroll Events
page
Processing of events to reopen and close periods on the eSocial Period Controls page
Human Resources
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to Human Resources.
Managing and Viewing Dotted Line Relationships from the Company Directory
With PeopleSoft HCM image 23, your organization can now create, manage, and view dotted line relationships.
Dotted line relationships are one-to-one relationships between two individuals where one individual reports to
another outside of a direct line reporting relationship.
When granted access, a person can manage dotted line relationships for his or her employees. This is easily done
through the Company Directory - Manage Dotted Line page. The page will also display the person’s dotted line
requests that are pending approval.
Manage Dotted Line page for a person granted security access to manage dotted line relationships and with a request pending
Administrators will create and manage dotted line relationships using the HR administrator Dotted Line page.
The Org Chart Viewer showing a dotted line manager and a dotted line report for the focus employee.
• On-demand.
Twenty components in PeopleSoft Payroll for North America and four components in PeopleSoft ePay are delivered
with lockdown capability enabled.
A red paper on My Oracle Support explains how to enable lockdown for additional components with a simple
PeopleCode customization.
PeopleSoft delivers 30 entries in the tax class table for existing tax classes. Some additional codes are reserved for
PeopleSoft use, but customers can create tax classes with two-character and three-character codes where the first
character is a number from 0 to 5. (If you add your own tax classes, you are responsible for all customizations that
are necessary to use those tax classes. Simply adding a tax class to this table does not affect payroll processing.)
After taking the tax class expansion feature, customers who currently use the reserved tax class values 0 through 5
can keep using those values during 2017. However, customers should migrate to new two- or three-character values
before running the first payroll with a check date on or after January 1, 2018.
Recruiting Solutions
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to PeopleSoft Recruiting
Solutions.
Fluid Candidate Gateway Enhancements
PeopleSoft HCM Image 23 includes three enhancements to Candidate Gateway. All three enhancements apply to
both Fluid Candidate Gateway and Classic Candidate Gateway.
First, if you use Registration Terms and Conditions functionality, candidates now must agree to your terms during
registration updates as well as during initial registration. Registration updates occur when applicants sign in after you
change registration settings such as password requirements. This enhancement also expands the registration
update logic so that activating or updating registration terms triggers a registration update for your candidates.
A second Candidate Gateway enhancement ensures that the Veteran Self-Identification step appears only in
applications for US jobs.
The third enhancement expands the alternate character options for sites. You can now hide alternate character
fields in Candidate Gateway even when the applicable primary permission list is configured to show alternate
character fields.
• Group Update (for the new Update Job Details for Group guided self-service transaction)
Using the Classic Plus Setup page, System Administrators can quickly view the list of application
components delivered as Classic Plus and enable/disable Classic Plus Classic Plus feature in Classic
Components
Classic Components.
If approvals are required, submitting the transaction creates a separate Group Update approval request for each
employee in the group. When an approver filters the Pending Approval page to display only these Group Update
requests, the approver can select multiple transactions for batch approval.
The Update Job Details for Group transaction can be accessed from the new Update Team Information page, from
the standard PeopleSoft menu, and from the Actions List on the My Team page.
The left frame of the navigation collection lists all of the delivered guided self-service transactions, including the new
Update Job Details for Group transaction. The right frame displays the page where the user chooses which
employee(s) to update. Choosing the employee(s) launches the selected guided self-service transaction.
The Payment Summary page provides a brief summary of payslip information and enables you to access more
detailed payslip information relating to earnings and deductions, payment distribution, payroll balances, absence
balances, and payslip analytics.
As of HCM Image 24, this functionality has been implemented for the following Global Payroll Country Extensions:
• Argentina
• Australia
• China
• Hong Kong
• India
• Japan
• Malaysia
• Mexico
• New Zealand
• Singapore
• Spain
• Switzerland
• Thailand
• United Kingdom
• United States
To assist administrators with troubleshooting tasks, the monitor is updated to display all pertinent error messages in
the event details for any event with an error status.
Display of all associated error messages for events that are in error status
In eSocial, exclusion events are used to remove incorrect data that is sent to the Government, and can be created
for any system-delivered eSocial events. As administrators review details of exclusion events in the monitor, new
columns are added to show additional information about these exclusions, such as the events for which they are
created.
PeopleSoft will support the Incoming XML files such as P6,P9, SL1 and SL2 Notices, as well as NVREP.
In the first deliverable we had provided the ability to generate the RTI outbound files FPS, EPS and EYU in XML
format. In this image we are providing the ability to import inbound files, as well as the remaining outbound file for
NVREQ.
Human Resources
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to Human Resources.
Company Directory Setup Enhancements – Identifying Roles for Dotted Line Relationship Management
Using the General Settings page for the Company Directory Fluid org view type, administrators can identify the roles
that will grant workers access to manage dotted line relationships from within the Company Directory fluid pages.
When assigned a role that is identified on this setup page, a person can create or remove dotted line reporting
relationships.
• The Promotion Readiness dashboard now includes the Job History tile and page that enable managers to
quickly view jobs held within the organization by an employee.
• The Compensation Review and Career Planning dashboards give access to the Employee Impact tile and
page. This enables managers to assess the impact of loss, risk of leaving, performance, and potential of
an employee through rating evaluations and ratings boxes.
• The Performance Review dashboard includes a list of education and government projects assigned to an
employee.
• The Career Planning dashboard also displays the Succession Plan tile and page where you can view the
jobs and persons for which an employee is slated as a successor.
In support of these new tiles, the Employee Snapshot setup pages enable the administrator to configure and display
the Performance versus Potential and Risk versus Loss ratings boxes. The administrator can also identify which
succession plans, if any, should appear for an employee.
• Combined all the certifications of reports of birth issued by the Department of State (Form FS-545, Form
DS-1350 and Form FS-240) into selections C #2 in List C.
Before submitting the request, review the summary of changes and the current information using the Transaction
Summary step. This is a new functionality with Image 24.
• Job openings where the user is the creator or a member of the hiring team.
Under enhanced applicant security, users do not have access to job openings through department tree
security.
Even when a user has access to a specific applicant, the user cannot see applications for job openings
where the user is not the creator or on the hiring team.
As part of this feature, certain applicant transactions can now optionally be associated with one or more job
openings. This allows transaction visibility to be restricted. The transactions that can now be associated with job
openings are applicant notes, forwarding an applicant, and sending correspondence. System-created applicant
notes are automatically associated with the job opening(s) from the transaction that caused the note to be created.
The option to associate these transactions with job openings is available even if you do not activate enhanced
applicant security. If you do activate enhanced applicant security, transactions that are associated with job openings
are not visible to users who do not have access to the job openings.
You activate the enhanced applicant security setting for specific recruiting roles. For example, you can restrict hiring
manager roles without restricting recruiter roles. The setting is effective dated. The Recruiting Administrator role
cannot be restricted, so administrators continue to have standard access to job openings and applicant data.
The administrator specifies the time reporters individually, by process group query, or as all employees and the
process inserts them into the staging table with the specified Enrollment Start Date.
You can use the Benefit Details tile delivered on the Employee Self Service fluid home page to access the fluid
Dependent/Beneficiary pages. You can also add additional phones numbers or an email address for your
dependents and beneficiaries.
The following Fluid Approval transactions are available in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 image 25:
• Allocate Compensation
• Non-Person Profile
• Person Profile
• Payable Time
In PeopleSoft HCM image 25, you now have the ability to clone Activity Guide Composer categories using the Clone
Category page. This functionality enables administrators to quickly clone existing activity guided categories that can
be reconfigured for a different business process.
After each Financial Year, the organization needs to share Year-End Statements with the employees. Instead of
sending printed reports by mail, organization can now use the Self Service Reporting Framework to make the
Statements available online. With this new feature, employees can view reports using their mobile devices and
receive notification when reports are available to view, download or print.
When the employee taps the Payroll Reports tile on the Employee Self Service Homepage, the Payroll Reports
page opens where the employee can select the report to be generated. The reports listed are country specific and
will be based on the security access of the logged in user.
eCompensation
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to the eCompensation
application.
Fluid Total Rewards Print Capability
Enhanced the Fluid Total Rewards feature to support print capability.
The Fluid Total Rewards Statement provides managers, employees, and administrators graphical and tabular
representations of employees’ full compensation and benefits packages.
In this image, users can leverage the print capability that is delivered in the Fluid Total Rewards Statement to launch
a printer-friendly version of the statement for printing purposes.
Managers can review approvals requests for the Allocate Compensation Fluid transaction using the Fluid Approvals
pages. See Fluid Approvals.
When set up to use relationships, the Talent Profile fluid pages will display an additional column and link to review,
add, or delete related items. Note that the name of the link varies based on the child relationship of the content type.
Click the link to access the new related content item pages to view or manage related items.

In November 2017, a labor reform went into effect in Brazil to amend the existing Brazilian Labor Code and
regulations. To help create new jobs and promote employment, this reform implements less restrictive labor rules in
a number of areas. In this image, Global Payroll for Brazil delivers product updates to support these reform changes:
• Union Contributions – union dues are no longer mandatory to employees. The system is updated to apply
union contribution deductions only to employees who choose to do so.
• Vacation – employees can split their vacation time up to 3 periods (one of the periods must be at least 14
days long and the other two no less than 5 days each). Part-time employees are now entitled to 30 days of
vacation. Updates are made on the Vacation Parameters BRA page to react to these vacation rule
changes.
Added and updated fields on the Vacation Parameters page to support latest vacation rules
The system delivers new termination reason (Termination by Common Agreement) and GRRF code (Term
by Common Agreement) to support this new termination type:
Delivered termination reason and GRRF code for setting up new termination type on the Termination Versions page
It also updates the Termination Contract, CAGED, GRRF, and SEFIP reports to display information for
terminations by common agreement when applicable.
Human Resources
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to PeopleSoft Human
Resources.
Person ID Delete
Enhanced the Person ID Delete process to enforce data privacy.
PeopleSoft HCM has enhanced the data privacy Person ID Delete process to grant you full control when it comes to
the ability to completely delete worker information from the system when there are legitimate reasons for a person
to be forgotten and when your organization determines the data no longer serves its purpose.
• ID Delete Administrator:
Allows administrators to 1) define control records and fields, where the presence of data for a specific
person prevents that person’s data from being deleted, and 2) list tables from which person data for
workers should not be deleted.
Person ID Delete Control page options for those with the ID Delete Administrator role
• ID Delete User:
Enables users who run the Person ID Delete process the ability to override the administrator configuration
options so that person ID data is completely removed from the database.

The PeopleSoft system now provides a csv file option to support the electronic filing that OSHA recently announced
to report your establishment injury and illness records. The OSHA 300A Annual Summary run control page includes
the Generate PDF Reports check box.

The new Applicant ID Delete process enables you to delete applicant information from the system when there are
legitimate reasons for a person to be forgotten and when your organization determines the data no longer serves its
purpose.
On the new Applicant ID Delete run control page, you choose applicants to delete. Then, when you run the process,
the system permanently removes all of the applicant’s data from both Talent Acquisition Manager and Candidate
Gateway.
In tables such as the Manage Hires table, where the applicant ID is a foreign key, the deletion process changes the
original applicant ID to zero so the row is no longer associated with an applicant.
A configuration option for the deletion process enables administrators with the new ID Delete Administrator role to
list tables from which applicant data should not be deleted. The new ID Delete User role gives users who run the
Applicant ID Delete process the ability to override this configuration option so that applicant data is completely
removed from the database.
The Fluid Timesheet for Elapsed Time Reporters has been redesigned to provide a more modern and intuitive user
experience. Besides being intuitive, the new timesheet is fluid and can easily adapt to a tablet, a laptop, or a

PeopleSoft HCM Sensitive Data Masking enhancements supports the masking of National ID, Date of Birth and
Bank Account Number data.
PeopleSoft HCM provides row-level security for Administrator components and ensures that only authorized users
have access to different segments of employees. However, this does not control or secure the access to fields on
the page that show sensitive information.
Data Masking addresses the protection of sensitive content by providing a configurable option for masking sensitive
content in select administrator pages. Only authorized users can see such sensitive data.
The Component Configuration page enables you to select the masking format and whether to hide the associated
fields such as Age fields related to the birthdate.
The Acknowledgement Framework gives you the ability to create configurable acknowledgements and agreements
using a new Acknowledgement Configuration page.

action directly from the email by clicking a link, such as Approve or Deny, to generate a reply to the request. The
email displays requestor comments and approval history. In addition, if the approver needs further details or
information, the email provides a link that enables her to view the approval request in PIA.

Event totals match with their payroll results on a Period to Date (PTD) and a Year to Date (YTD) basis. Using the
STP Reconciliation process employers can generate reports and perform distinct function to compare values
reported in the PAYEVNTEMP file to actual payroll result values at payee level.
