On February 25, 2020, an inspection was made at the property located at 1250 Beacon Pointe Drive
Apartment D. There was a concern about the indoor air quality of the apartment home due to
suspect mold growth. The following is a list of defects that were observed and the suggested
corrections for fixing those defects:
• The carpet and the padding in the bedroom have mold growth. Pull the carpet and
padding to determine if there is a crack in the slab that is allowing moisture intrusion.
Replacement of the carpet and pad may be necessary.
• The toilet in the hall bath is clogged. There is an odor of human urine in the apartment.
Unclog the toilet and ensure the plumbing is working correctly and that all waste is
being properly removed from the unit.
It is the recommendation of the Johnson County Health Department that these defects be corrected
as soon as possible. Further damage and deterioration may occur as time passes.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (317) 346-4374.
