Activities Starter : Pupils identify several genres shown by


teacher.

Activity 1 –

1.1 Teacher shows a picture of a book fair. Knowledge


1.2 Teacher carries out a brainstorming session. Building

2.1 Teacher shows several story books to pupils. Processing
2.2 Teacher discusses the meaning of genre. Information
2.3 Pupils identify the genres of the books.

Activity 3
3.1 Pupils select their favourite story book. HOTS –
3.2 Pupils list the reasons for selecting the story Evaluating
books.
3.3 Pupils present their reasons to the class.

Plenary : Pupils complete a Bubble Map.
