Section 1: Review (Approx 100 words)
Over the course of the year, my knowledge of the film, music industry has greatly
expanded, as well as editing using Final Cut Pro. I’ve learnt how much research;
planning must go into a project. These new skills will help my project to grow, using
editing software and industry standard camera equipment. Using Final Cut Pro, but
experimenting with settings, transitions and colour correction it has helped me with
developing my knowledge. My teamwork, communication, confidence and improving
deadlines have vastly improved since the beginning of the year which as allowed me to
share my ideas with my peers successfully.
Section 2: Project Concept (approx 250 words)
The final major project will be a music video for TheDooo’s Hallelujah. I want to of
which I want to use the idea that society is forced into isolation by the government
who seems to have locked the rest of the public within their homes. In doing so, our
main character tries to escape from this pandemic situation who seems to have been
forced by this apparent crisis, each time the main character tries to escape the
government seem to increase security until there is no escape for the main character.
As a part of the props I will be using such as: suitcase, plastic ball and backpack. The
equipment list is rather small due to the lack of access to camera equipment- my
phone. The same applies for the filming locations, inside my house and the garden,
park, car park and a bus stop. I hope to spruce up the scenery (mise-en-scene) though,
to make each shot more interesting to look at. I will be using my peers for feedback
and focus groups to help evolve my work and will use the tutorial (1:1 sessions) with
my teachers to support my learning if I start to not understand any of the process.
Furthermore, I hope to make the music video in black and white, I also plan to utilise
my parent to add more characters make the video more interesting, differential and
unique. The software that I shall be using Final Cut Pro X for the editing the video.
Section 3: Evaluation (approx 50 words)
Weebly will track my progress, noting evaluations of specific parts of the project pre-
production to post-production. Writing down any changes to the idea, reasons for those
changes, reflections with my peers will improve the project to make it better, I will be
screening the product to my peers for critique.
