SKILL ACTIVITIES DETAILS

SPEAKING • A Play about Road Blocks To Listening • Our group was assigned to perform a short
play regarding on the "Road Blocks To
Listening" this is a series of presentation of
every group which means that after the
performance of the first presentator it should
be followed quickly by the next group, the
presentation focuses on Road Blocks To
listening which is the Hostility to
speaker,Daydreaming,Prejudging,selective
listening,Closemindedness,Listeners
Background and Distractions.

• Role Play • In this activity we've performed a short play


about 'Harry Potter'. We are instructed to
make a short play which reflects on the group
name that we have chosen and since our
group have chosen to have a name Harry
Potter the theme should be a Harry Potter as
well.

• Pronunciation of the vowel sounds • In this activity we are assigned to


pronounce the vowel sounds it's not merely
reciting the sounds nor emulating and
expressing how the word should be
pronounced but we need also to perform an
act depending on the sounds/words we have
to utter. Each of us had our part by giving at
least 5 words with the sounds on it. In this
activity I had the 'Schwa' sound and I gave 5
words by reciting it in front of our class.

• How to emulate the consonant sounds sounds similar to the prior activity we need to
pronounce again here the words with
consonant sounds, the only thing is that in
this activity we only need to give at least 3
words with consonant sounds and we have to
give an action everytime we pronounce the
word with consonant a sound. I have chosen
to pronounce the hard 'th' sound in this
activity.

READING • A Passage from books,movies and etc. • Under the 5 Macroskills we have reading
and the first activity that we had was to get a
passage from books,movies or any type of
reference and then we need to read that
passage that we have chosen in front of our
class, some of us gave a passage from books
while some are from movies. In my part I
have chosen to get my passage from my
favorite movie at the same time from a
famous novel of Suzanne Collins which
entitled "Hunger Games".

• In this activity we need to give our personal
