Promotion
Posters
We promoted the event in order to invite students from other schools and expose the
sponsor’s name with the ways as follows:
Other than matches, in the QA session by Mr. Gremu there were a lot of questions from the
students. It seemed to be meaningful time for them. After the event, Mr. Gremu expressed his
feeling that he wants to join this event again.
Pg. 09 Result of the Competition
Result of Questionnaire
We have conducted questionnaires to the students, audience and the representatives
during the event.
One representative gave us an opinion, “It’d better divide Primary and Secondary to
compete”, which can let us consider to change the format of the next event.
As for answers from the students, all the students answered “Strongly Agree” or “Agree” to
the questions “Were you able to improve your skills on computer?” and “Do you recommend
this event to your friends, family or neighbours?”. In addition, many students answered as their
opinion over the event “it should be held annually”. We have got positive input and opinions
from the students and we have been able to promote to improve their skills through this event.
For example of the improvement, in Blantyre Secondary School, the average time of typing
by students who asked to participated in was 21 minutes par 120 words. However, right before
the event, the average time has been improved as 11 minutes par 120 words in both the
students who participated in and not participated. Not only the students who participated in, but
also the students who couldn’t participate were able to improve their typing skill.
Some of the result are as follows:
18 students out of the all participants answered. (N:18)

Pg. 11 From the Planners
“I was very proud to participate in this competition as it was for the first time. I
felt extremely happy after winning the competition that I didn't believe that we
have made it to be the best. As we did it as a group, it was great since there is
a say that "United we stand and divided we fall". Upon hearing that we will
receive a voucher, I was very glad as well. All in all, in a competition being
focused is the most important thing.”
“Lastly, may God bless Japanese volunteers and Bata Shoe Company for
their contributions.”
