I. BACKGROUND
Mastery of English proficiency (language skills) is a necessary condition that must be
held in the era of communication and globalization. Learning English (language skills) at the high school level is a subject matter as part of the function of self-development of students in science, tecnology and art that is expected after completing the study, they were able to grow and develop into individuals who are intelligent, skilled and personality as the provision of life in the future.
Mastery of the subject matter in English in a high school level covers the four language skills, namely:listening, speaking, reading, and writing.all that is supported by elements of other languages, namely: Vocabulary, Grammar and Pronunciation in accordance with the theme as a means of achievement of objectives. Of all the four language skills above, SPEAKING (speaking)is one of the perceived language skills are oftena concern for students in the process of learning English. It is very interesting to be given the ability to speak (SPEAKING ability) is influenced by the mastery of vocabulary, grammar and the abiliyty of students in stringing words into a text that is acceptable.
Differences in grammatical between English an Indonesian language as a foreign
language as the main language is a problem that often arises when learning to speak. The ability to express meaning in rhetorical stages of a short assay simply by using a variety of written language accurately, fluently and thankful to interactin the context of everybody life. Activities of the competition in English is required to measure the extent of the competition in the mastery of self in English.
II. THE BASE OF ACTIVITY
1. The work program OSIS 10th section field communication in English
2. Work program period ELF 2017/2018 of the Senior Order of ELF Terms 3. The Govern Council ELF 2017/2018 period
III. PURPOSE OF ACTIVITY
1. Measure the ability of self-mastery in English to Recieve worth experiences with
rehearsal communication with Native Speaker. 2. Development media in English both oral and written.
IV. PARTICIPANTS
This event participants are member of English Lectures Forum SMA NEGERI 1 NGANJUK from Class X and XI (member of participants the attachments in the behind).
V. OUTCOMES
With ONE DAY IN ENGLISH program, the members of the ELF will be better to know the importance of English and hone their skills in practice communicating a their english with a native English speaker.
