WALT DISNEY’S “FANTASIA”

Fantasia is a 1940 motion picture produced by Walt Disney and first released
on Nov. 13th 1940 in the United States ( 1941 in Australia ). The soundtrack of
the film consists of eight pieces of classical music conducted by a very
famous conductor of the time ,Leopold Stokowski.. Animated characters are
used to illustrate these pieces of music in various ways. Despite its enormous
success today, it was not popular when first released., leaving the producer
Walt Disney in dire financial straits. It was the first animated musical to be
released in STEREO ( two-channel ) and is listed with Snow White and the
seven dwarfs as the only animated feature to be listed in the American Film
Institute’s 100 greatest movies of all time. Fantasia was released again in the
year 2000 with a new soundtrack played by the Chicago Symphony
Orchestra.

The Sorceror’s Apprentice :

The Sorcerer's Apprentice tells the story of an apprentice who cannot control
the magic that he has tried to use, with Mickey Mouse in the role of the
apprentice. Afterwards, Mickey and Leopold, seen in silhouette, congratulate
each other.
