Section B: Summary

Read the passage below and answer the question that follows.
In every school there is usually a library which contains a variety of books , magazines and newspapers. A
school library is very useful to both teachers and students. They can use it to increase their knowledge. A teacher
can only teach only teach certain amount of information in a given time. The students, however, can find extra
information in the school library.
There are many books which the students can refer to when they want to do research. Some libraries even
provide a photocopying service. This saves time as the students do not have to waste time copying down
information. When students use the school library , they develop initiative. They also learn how to do things
themselves. They learn how to obtain information on their own and depend less on their tachers. This training is
useful as it helps to prepare students for life after school. Futhermore, as students read various types of books,
they will somehow find some kind of books they like.
Once the reading habit is developed, it can help the students for the rest of their lives.
Use your won words as far as possible without changing the original meaning.
The following is the short story studied in the literature component in English Language.
Based on the short story you have read, write about a character that you like.
