For creating a Ledger you have to go to

the master menu > Accounts master >
Ledger > Create

1. Ledger Name:

Please put the ledger name, it will reflect at the time of making
transaction and in all report.

2. Add Alias:
Alias has three fields. a. Print name, b. Cheque Favour Name,
c. Regional Language Print Name.

Print Name:
This is an Optional field. If you don’t what to see the ledger name
in any printed document you can put a different name in this box

Cheque Favour Name:

It’s a mandatory field if you want to print cheque by using the
ledger which you are creating, otherwise it’s not required, this
name will reflect in the printed cheque.

Regional Language Print Name:

It’s an optional field, if you want to print anything in your
regional language(except English) you can type it here.

After putting all required values please click on the Close Alias
Button

3. Ledger Code:
You can put a Numeric or Alphanumeric code here, it will help
you to search any ledger much faster otherwise Ledger name
is enough. Ledger code is not a mandatory field.
4. Ledger Group:
As per your chart of accounts please select a convenient group
form the drop down list or you can create a new group by
clicking the plus button, the new group will be selected
automatically.
5. Ledger category:
In RealBooks Ledger can be categorized as per there nature.
Party, Bank, Tax and Regular are the categories.
Party: All Debtors and Creditors has to be created as party
Category.
Bank: All bank Ledgers has to be created as party Category.
Tax: All Duties and tax ledger has to be created under Tax
Category.
Regular: Except the above said categories all are under regular
category.

Please select convenient category from the drop down list

6. HSN/SAC Code: If it’s a service ledger Please put Proper(as
per the GST Council) SAC code here, otherwise you can skip
this.

7. Nature of Supply Under (GST):

Please select the nature of the said service ledger as declared by

GST Council, from the drop down list.

8. Visible: You can make visible or invisible any ledger at any

time from then onwards for further transaction. It will show
it’s all past transaction in all reports either it’s visible or
invisible. If invisible then it will not appear in the search list at
the time of making any transaction.
9. Active Bill: If you want to see bill wise receivable or payable
details please active it by clicking the button.
10. Add rates: You can add a rate here, it will auto calculate
the value of this ledger in transaction.
11. Attach Ledger: By clicking this button you can attach
other ledgers with it, all the ledgers will act together at the
time of transaction.

12. If it’s a regular leger, after fulfilling all the requirement,
Please click on the save button to create the ledger or you can
press ctrl+s to save. If it’s a party or bank or tax leger then
please don’t save, follow the next steps.

Ledger creation page (Party):

If you are creating a party ledger, then to provide the party

information please select the party option from the category drop
down list. Two additional tabs will appear beside the general tab,
there you can able to provide GSTIN, Bank, Address etc. related
data.
