Types of Advertisement:

1. Retail Advertisement:

It Emphasize the specific retail outlet. Retail advertising is the process by


which retailers use advertising (online and offline) to drive awareness and interest
towards their products to generate sales from their target audience. retail
advertising is meant to drive store traffic and increase sales immediately.

3. Outdoor Advertisement:
This technique is used for promoting quick
and simple ideas. It is very effective as people

Billboards, street furniture, vehicles etc.

It is advertising with a strong emphasis on the company brand (logo and/or company name)
also known as integrated marketing communication (IMC). This is done to establish long term
relationship with customers by attaching emotions and showing their uniqueness.

5. Broadcast advertisement:
Broadcast advertising is a very popular advertising medium that constitutes of several branches
like television, radio or the internet. Television advertisements have been very popular ever
since they have been introduced.

6. International advertisement:
International advertising entails dissemination of a commercial message to target
audiences in more than one country. International advertising is also a business
activity involving advertisers and the advertising agencies that create ads and buy
media in different countries. Best examples are Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Microsoft
etc.
7. Covert advertisement
Covert advertising is a unique kind of advertising in which a product or a particular brand is
incorporated in some entertainment and media channels like movies, television shows or even
sports. This is used to manipulate the mindset of viewers and create the brand image.
8. Celebrity advertisement:
This technique is used for celebrity endorsement in which a famous person’s image is use for
selling product or services. The benefits of using a celebrity for advertising are the ability
to: Build brand equity, meaning brand power is acquired through the name recognition,
which allows the company to achieve larger sales and profits.

9. Mobile advertisement:
Mobile advertising is the use of mobile devices to send marketing messages to
consumers. Generally, this is done by marketers looking for the best places to advertise
inside of SMS messages, banner ads on mobile websites, or by placing an ad in a
mobile application such as a news app or game.
