- Purpose
The purpose of this club is to create a space where students of multiple grades can
come together to share in their passion and/or interest in recycling. The club aims
to have students work on educational initiatives in our school. With our recent
paper recycling program implementation, we realize there is a vital need to educate our student
body about how the program works and why it is important. We hope to educate our school
community through both a poster initiative and an educational short video that could be shown
during Connect. After meeting this goal, we hope to focus on different components of recycling
or other conservation efforts either in our community or our own lives. The remaining time will
be largely influenced by the interest of the students and will develop as students express their
own interests and areas they would like to study.
Proposed timeline:
2nd week Research into why recycling is important and then begin our video/poster
Feb 18th campaigns
4th week poster/video campaigns (try to wrap up here, or the next week if
March 3rd necessary)
5th week Based on student interest (potentially a trash analysis at home or of the
March 10th school)
