MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES
OBJECTIVES: To enable the students understand the principles of management and how to acquire
skills to become a good manager.
OUTCOMES: On successful completion of this course, the students should have understood Principles
& functions of Management, Process of decision making, Modern trends in management process.

ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR
OBJECTIVE: To enable the student understand the importance of organizational behavior and how to
acquire skills to become a good leader.

Definition, Need and importance of organizational behavior – Nature and scope – Frame work –
organizational behavior models.

Meaning – Importance – leadership styles – Leaders vs. Managers – Sources of power – Power centers –
Power and Politics.

SHIPPING AND PORT MANAGEMENT
OBJECTIVES; To enable the students understand the shipping industry and port management how to
acquire skills to handle port activities excellence.
OUTCOMES: In this course, the students will learn the concepts of shipping, port operations, Freight
forwarding, Surveyors, Port sector in India, globalization Information Technology and Indian port sector.
