 GVSU Technology Showcase
o This was a showcase showed available technology that can be used in the classroom. It
was hands on experience to gain insight on how to intentionally use technology.
 Introduction to Google Classroom
o This was led by a Google Certified trainer. She taught Google terminology, how to use
and set up classrooms, how to create assignments and assign them, and more.
o Pear Deck was used for the presentation. Training on Pear Deck was also included.
 Informed Teaching in Trauma
o Full day lecture on students with trauma, how they behave and strategies to use to help
them.
 Smartboard Training
o An interactive workshop on how to use Smartboards. It involved participating in
activates with the smart board and creating our own.
 Education to Heal Humanity
o Taught by Calvin Terrell, full day training on racism and poverty.

2020
 Introduction to Project Based Learning
o This introduced the concept of project based learning (PBL).
o Learned the 4 aspects of PBL and briefly how to enact them.
 Stewards of Children
o A 2 hour training on mandating reporting. When to report, and how to report.

Volunteer
February 2019 Science Night
● At Godwin Heights ran a math booth and the planetarium.
July 2018 Science, Technology, and Engineering Preview Summer Camp (STEPS Camp).
● Lead the camp in introductory and team building games.
● These games helped the campers learn to work together as a team so later in
camp they could complete an engineering task.
March 2012 Campus Ministry Alternative Spring break.
● Week long volunteering trip with Youth Encouragement Services in Nashville, TN.
After-school program for children from low income homes.
●Helped the children work on homework, play basketball, and have a snack in a safe
welcoming environment.
March 2011 Science Olympiad
●Helped to run an event at the regional competition at GVSU.
