As an artist manager in college as a part of my course I would have to select and justify an artist to
develop and then implement a strategy. In doing this I had to create evidence from marketing
activities, meetings with the artist, live performance and musical releases.

 Running A Live Music Event

When running a live event, I had to do market research into audiences, artists and venues. I would
have to create key tasks and timelines related to planning, promoting and staging my event. I also
had created simple budgeting forecasts for my event, containing the projected income, costs and
break-even point. My financial forecasts would include the costs of the venue, artist fee, rider,
ticketing, marketing and promotional costs and the income or tickets, merchandise, programmes or
any projected sources of income. The break-even point was the minimum ticket sales required to
recover projected costs. Running a live event also included me having to collect relevant
documentation for the technical management.

 Responsible for operating social medias

Responsible for operating social medias was for when I was promoting my Live event, I would use
social media apps such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to promote but also to make sure all the
details for my event was on the apps. I also used social media for promoting my artists for releasing
their record making sure I was posting up to the release date.
