Many of the events need volunteers for transportation. All volunteers must
have a completed volunteer packet and drivers form on file with the Archdio-
cese.
The Edge Middle School Retreat will take place on Saturday, Febru-
ary 5 to Sunday, February 6. It will be held in Norcross at The
Lodge at Simpsonwood. Drop off will be at 5:30 pm on Saturday and
pick up will be at 11:00 am on Sunday. Carpools are encouraged as
transportation will not be provided. More details coming soon!
LIFETEEN FALL SEMESTER 2010
Sundays 5:00pm-8:00pm
There will be a Confirmation Parent Meeting on Sun-
day January 9th at 3:30pm in the Parish Hall. Students that will
be receiving the Sacrament this year must be in 10th grade or
older, and actively attending Lifeteen or in Catholic School.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated by Bishop
Zarama on Friday, April 29th at 7pm at St. Andrew Church.
A new year of Lifeteen will kick-off on Sunday January 9th after the
Teen Mass. Join us for the start of an incredible semester!
The Spring Confirmation Retreat will be March 4th-6th. All teens being
Confirmed in the Spring will need to attend this retreat.
Thank you to all of the teens who spent last Sunday making Christ-
mas cookies and putting together toiletry bags for the homeless, your
generosity is truly appreciated!
We are looking for older teens and college students to join us in our
leadership program. If you are a junior, senior or older join us in the
Teen Lounge on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm. Pizza is
included!

St. Andrew Preschool Registration
2011-2012 School Year
Our Preschool Program at St. Andrew provides a safe and nurturing
environment for one year olds through four year old preschoolers.
The program allows your child to be part of a Catholic based, social,
yet structured setting as well as getting the four year olds ready for
kindergarten.
Registration for the fall will be the week of January 10th for currently
enrolled children and their siblings, January 27th for parishioners of
St. Andrew not currently enrolled, and on January 28th all others are
welcome.

ers. Whether you are looking for a couple of free hours without your
one year old or a kindergarten readiness program, St. Andrew Pre-

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
The beginning of the New Year and what a wonderful
time to make a commitment to increase your prayer life
and thank God for all your many blessings. Please sign-
up for Eucharistic Adoration for the month of January.
You can spend a quiet hour once a week with Our Lord, listening and
praying before the Blessed Sacrament. You can sign-up in the book
in the narthex. Guardians commit to one hour a week (of your choice)
for one month at a time.
The Adoration Chapel will be closed for the Christmas Holidays
from December 20th until January 4th.
All parents who wish to have their children baptized in the
month of February will need to attend a Baptism Class on
Monday, January 24th. Please call the office to register.
Parents will need to be registered and active members of
the parish for a minimum of three months prior to taking the class.
THE ELIJAH CUP
The Elijah Cup is a chalice that is given to parishioners
and families to take home from Mass to use as a focal
point while praying for vocations. You may sign up for
the Mass of your choice in the main church entrance or

ST. MARTIN DE PORRES HOMELESS SHELTER:
St. Martin de Porres will be going downtown next Sunday,
December 26th If you are able to donate any of the fol-
lowing, we would greatly appreciate it: Sandwiches -- pea-
nut butter and jelly or bologna and cheese on white bread
in individual sandwich bags. We ask for 40 sandwiches (4
loaves of bread) from each volunteer, but any amount would be ap-
preciated. Fruit -- oranges and bananas are preferred Candy — big
bags of small candy bars are perfect. Powdered lemonade mix -
regular or pink. Also, we need plastic grocery bags to place the meals
in. Please bring your donations to the parish hall before 11:30am. If
you need to bring your sandwiches before Sunday, you can put them
in the parish hall kitchen refrigerator and we'll find them.
Volunteers are also needed to help pack the lunches following 10:30
Mass. We do need someone to drive the lunches to the Union Mis-
sion. If you are interested in driving this Sunday or anytime in the
future, please let them know. It's easy and rewarding and you are
usually back by 2:00pm.
