3. Execute the Task in the Packet Tracer and write the derived output in the Question Paper wherever asked
in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.
4. Marks will be awarded based on your performance and accuracy of execution of the practical work.
5. Should adhere strictly to the allotted timings and no additional time will be given to anyone for any
reason.
6. The invigilator will evaluate your work to check your outcomes against the questions asked after the
examination.
7. You must sign in the evaluation paper after your work is inspected by the invigilator.
8. At the end of the exam, submit the question paper to your invigilator.

The 0th subnet is used. You are not allowed to calculate subnets using Calculators/ Internet Sources. Do the
VLSM Calculations in the Answer Sheet and Fill the Addressing Table in the Answer Sheet.Make sure that
your VLSM Subnet Calculation is Correct. Using the Wrong IP Address will not give you marks.

Initialize the Device:

For Subnet ONE

1. Assign the First Usabe Host in the Subnet to the Host Machine (PCONE)
2. Assign the Third from First Usable Host in the Subnet to the Router Interface (Default Gateway)
3. Assign the Second from the First Usable Host in the Subnet to the Switch (SVI Interface) SONE

For Subnet TWO

4. Assign the First Usabe Host in the Subnet to the Host Machine (PCTWO)
5. Assign the Third from First Usable Host in the Subnet to the Router Interface (Default Gateway)

For Subnet THREE

6. Assign the First Usabe Host in the Subnet to the Host Machine (PCTHREE)
7. Assign the Third from First Usable Host in the Subnet to the Router Interface (Default Gateway)
8. Assign the Second from the First Usable Host in the Subnet to the Switch (SVI Interface)
STHREE

Initialize and Reload the Router RCOM.

9. Delete the Old VLan Database in Switches SONE and STHREE.


10. Reload the Switches.
11. Check the Switches with appropriate command to find Old VLan Database is deleted.
12. Configure PCONE with appropriate IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway

15. Assign Names as per the Label for Router (RCOM). Please note that NAMES are case sensitive.

16. Set a minimum length for passwords. The Minimum length for passwords is 10.
17. Assign Encrypted Privledged Passwords for Router RCOM (Cisco12345).
18. Configure Console Connection: Password for Console for RCOM is 12345Cisco.
19. Configure Line Connection and allow only Telnet Access: Total 3 Lines, Password for Line
Connection is 123Cisco45.
20. Encrypt all the Clear Text Passwords in the Router.
21. Create a message of the day Banner for the Router stating "AUTHORISED ACCESS ONLY".
22. Create an Administrative User with a username "user" and password "cisco123456".
23. Based on the Addressing Table derived by you at IPv4 Addressing Scheme Part, Configure the
Gi0/0 Interface of Router R1 and activate the interface with appropriate IP Address. Add
Description ONE.
24. Based on the Addressing Table derived by you at IPv4 Addressing Scheme Part, Configure the
Gi0/1 Interface of Router R1 and activate the interface with appropriate IP Address. Add
Description TWO.
25. Based on the Addressing Table derived by you at IPv4 Addressing Scheme Part, Configure the
Gi0/2 Interface of Router R1 and activate the interface with appropriate IP Address. Add
Description THREE.
26. Disable DNS Lookup in Router RONE.
27. Configure Domain Name as www.nh1.com.
28. Configure SONE AND STHREE
29. Assign Names as per the Label for Switches.
30. Configure Management VLan (SVI) Interface with the appropriate IP Address derived by you at
IPv4 Addressing Scheme for Switches.
31. Configure Default Gateway for the Interface with the appropriate IP Address derived by you at
IPv4 Addressing Scheme for Switches.
32. Assign Encrypted Privledged Passwords for Switches as cisco12345.
