“THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DIVORCE BILL IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES”

Now adays many people in our society are in the case of forcing themselves in to bribing

someone in the government and to revoking their contract. This Divorce Bill is the common issue in the

Philippine but also in other countries to put their own life on the situation that they might suffer.

Divorce Bill is a written document prepared according to prescribed form and given by the husband to

his wife by which the marriage relation is dissolved. Divorce bill also associated with negative outcomes

and earlier life transitions as offspring enter young adulthood and later life. Children who experiencing

divorce are more likely experience poverty, educational failure, early and risky sexual activity, non-

marital childbirth, earlier marriage and also experiencing divorce by lacking of support of their families.

The researcher firmly believes that divorce bill will not cause anything that would be the

common good of our society due to the different factors or reasons. According to the catechism of the

Catholic Church, divorce is a grave offense against the natural law. It claims to break the contract, to

which the spouses freely consisted, to live with each other till death. Divorce does injury to the

salvation, of which sacramental marriage is the sign. Contracting a new union, even if it is recognized by

civil law, adds to the gravity of the rupture: the remarried spouse is then in a situation of public and

permanent adultery. And also, it is immoral because it introduces disorder on to the family and into

society. This disorder brings grave harm to the deserted spouse, to the children traumatized the

separation of their parent and often torn between them, and because of its contagious effect which

makes it truly a plague on society.

Likewise, the compendium of the social doctrine of the church teaches us that the family has

its foundation in the free choice of the spouse to unite themselves in marriage, in respect for the
meaning and values of this institution that does not depend on man but on God himself: “for the good

of the spouses and their offspring as well as of society, this sacred bond no longer depends on human

decision alone. For God himself is the author of marriage and has endowed it with various benefits and

purposes”. Therefore, the institution of marriage “initiate partnership of life and love established by the

creator and endowed by him with its own proper laws” is not the result of human conventions or of

legislative prescription but acquires its stability from divine disposition. It is an institution born, even in

the eyes of society, “from y\the human act by which the partners mutually surrender themselves to

each other”, and is founded on the very nature of that conjugal love which has a total and exclusive gift

of person, entails a definitive commitment expressed by mutual, irrevocable and public consent. This

commitment means that the relationship among family members are makes also by a sense of justice

and, therefore, by respect for mutual rights and duties.

As students, we need to take part in this issue and to be more open to the problems of our

country so that we can live in a better country, were no families is being torn apart and were children

can find hope, love, and happiness. The sacrament of marriage is enlightening us to be closer to God and

his people. And taking up the human reality of mutual love in all its implications by giving them a power

and commitment to live their vocation and seeking for the kingdom of God ang by engaging in temporal

affairs ordering them according to the plan of God. Marriage is gives fullness of life to that sincere gift of

self, the fruit which is children, who in turn are a gift for the parents, for the whole family and all of

society. The grace of this sacrament confirms the love of the spouses to the love of Christ for the church.
