Purpose
The Emerging Technologies Workshop: Experimenting with REST APIs using Webex Teams explores the
field of programming with REST APIs. This workshop contains two chapters that introduce the students to:
• Creating a simple application in Python with REST APIs
• Using Python to perform a variety of calls to the Webex Teams API
The course also highlights the importance of coding in today’s marketplace and the value of joining
Communities of Practices such as GitHub, Stack Overflow, and the Cisco DevNet community whose
evangelists have been actively engaged in the development of this workshop.
