WRITE UP FOR DOUBLE MAIN CUM TRANSFER BUS ARRANGEMENT.

BUS ARRANGEMENT :-

DOUBLE MAIN CUM TRANSFER BUS


1. Line-1 & Line –2 Feeders are connected in Bus-1
2. TRAFO#1 & TRAFO#2 Feeders are connected in Bus-2
3. Main Bus-2 is considered for Transfer Bus
4. TRAFO#2 is considered for Bypass circuit
5. Bus Coupler (52B/C) is in Closed Condition.
Normal Operation – Charging a De-energised Line
Connecting Line-1 Feeder in Main Bus-1
• Ensure 89B & 89T Isolators of Line#1Feeder must be in OPEN
Condition.
• 89A Closed
• 89C Closed
• 89D Closed

• Line#1 Breaker – 52L1 Closed


Connecting Line-2 Feeder in Main Bus-1
• Ensure 89B & 89T Isolators of Line#2 Feeder must be in OPEN
Condition.
• 89A Closed
• 89C Closed
• 89D Closed
• Line#2 Breaker – 52L2 Closed
Connecting Trafo#1 Feeder in Main Bus-2
• Ensure 89A & 89T Isolators of Trafo#1 Feeder must be in OPEN
Condition.
• 89B Closed
• 89C Closed
• 89D Closed
• Trafo#1 Breaker – 52T1 Closed
Connecting Trafo#2 Feeder in Main Bus-2
• Ensure 89A & 89T Isolators of Trafo#2 Feeder must be in OPEN
Condition.
• 89B Closed
• 89C Closed
• 89D Closed
• Trafo#2 Breaker – 52T2 Closed

TRANSFER BUS OPERATION


• Main Bus-2 is Considered for Transfer Bus operation.
• Before taking Main Bus-2 as Transfer Bus all the loads connected in
Main Bus-2 must be transferred to Main Bus-1 except the circuit
which is to be By passed.
• Trafo#1 Feeder is transferred to Main Bus-1.

• Open 89B, Close 89A and Ensure Bus coupler 52B/C is in Closed
• Now all the loads conntected in Main Bus-2 is transferred to Main
Bus-1 Except the Trafo Fdr#2

BYPASS MODE – SEQUENCE OF OPERATION


• Put the TTS Switch in INTER Position.
• Close the Bypass Isolator – 89T of Trafo#2 Fdr.
• Close the Bus Coupler 52B/C
• Trip the Main CB – 52T2.
• Open ISOLATORS 89C & 89D
• Put the TTS switch in Transfer Position.

RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATION.


• Put the TTS Switch in INTER Position.
• Close the Main ISOLATORS 89C & 89D
• Close the Main CB 52T2.
• Trip the B/C Breaker 52B/C.
• Put the TTS switch in Normal Position.
For Taking Bus Maintenance OPERATION.
• Consider Main Bus#2 to be taken for maintenance.
• Feeders which are Connected in Main Bus#2 must be transferred to
Main Bus#1.
• Trafo#1 & Trafo#2 feeders are transferred to Main Bus#1.
• Close 89A of Trafo Feeder#1 & 2.
• Open 89B of Trafo Feeder#1 & 2.
• Trip Bus Coupler Breaker
