Aims
Clinical Verification of Symptoms Verification intend, from
the fundamentals principles of Evidence Based Medicine
(EBM), to validate the information contained in Veterinary
Materia Medicas and Repertories using statistical tools to
compare the presence of each symptom obtained from the
general population under study, with the symptoms of a
particular remedy in the same population that has been
cured.
First Step – How to collect data in MVH?
Materials and methods
This is a retrospective observational study of a database of 472 patients consecutively,
examined at my own private practice at the Colombian Institute of Homeopathy Luis G Páez
between September 2013 and July 2016 .
Patients’ data (specie, age, sex); medical condition or main complain treated; remedy
prescribed; potency and dosage; repertorized symptoms and outcome in the Likert scale; were
collected on a excel spreadsheet from the CHIP - Computerized Homeopathic Information and
Research Program (Win-C.H.I.P.) and the Symptoms of every first repertorization from Radar
Synthesis ( Radar 10.0 )
Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital
Outcome Score (GHHOS).
Better ? Worse ? Exactly the same ??

If better / How better ( %), mild, moderate or mayor improvement?

Pay attention to appetite, how active, urine and faeces and of course behaviour of the specie
.
THERAPEUTIC EVALUATION
The results were assessed using the Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital Outcome Score (GHHOS) ;
The degree of symptom intensity reported by the patient, as well as regression following treatment (if any), were
calculated by a numerical rate scale (NRS).
The owner accessed outcome compare to the first appointment with the reference values of the GHHOS scale
are distributed on the basis of a Likert scale a from −1 to +4,
and define the following different degrees of improvement:
0 = none;
1 = slight improvement;
2 = moderate improvement;
3 = important improvement,
4 = cured/back to normal; and
−1 = slight worsening.
