The contents of this course can be divided and segregated based on the revised Bloom’s
taxonomy key terminologies such as Remembrance, Understanding and Apply.

Remembrance:
The students are essential to recall the following concepts under this level
 Basics of Networks such as OSI & TCP/IP reference models, Topologies, Network
connecting devices & Cloud computing. Knowledge of Communication Networks
such as wireless sensor networks & IEEE standards, Communication Network
Protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SMTP, TFTP, MAC protocols, PPP, DHCP
& so on, Security Characteristics such as Integrity, Availability and Confidentiality.
 Python Programming for RaspberryPi.
 Basic concepts of Machine Learning.
Hence, during current learning process a review of fundamental concepts is necessary and
it occupies approximately 11.5% of the curriculum.

Understanding:
The contents of the course under this level are as follows
 Introduction to IoT, Origin of IoT, Applications of IoT, IoT Challenges, Smart
Objects, Sensors, IPv6, Data analytics, Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
 Thorough learning on IoT Architectures, Functional stack, Protocol stack, IoT
Access Technologies and IoT Application Protocols.
 Overview of History of IoT Security, Challenges, IT and OT Security Practices.
 Outline of Big Data Analytic Tools, Installation and configuration of Arduino and
Raspberry Pi.
Hence, during current learning process an understanding of IoT Concepts is necessary
and it occupies approximately 37% of the curriculum.

Apply:
The concepts under this level are listed as follows
 Apply the knowledge of python programming with Raspberry Pi and IoT Concepts to

QUANTIZATION OF COURSE STATISTICS
(Time and Marks based Quantization)

The Institute plans to teach the course, 4 hours per week which will be 1 hour
duration per Lecture. As per VTU norms the minimum Lecture hours is 50 hours. This
curriculum is based on Bloom’s revised level of learning.
While teaching the course, importance is given to the learning objectives and
outcomes based on Blooms revised level of learning. Based on the allocated time each
module will be evaluated as follows.
The pie charts shows Quantization of Course Statistics based on the percentage of
marks and times slots allocated to various Bloom’s level for entire course curriculum. The
teaching aid and evaluation process follows the same criteria.
