Life has a way of surprising us

There was once a man, who despised God. His name was Lucifer Morningstar, the devil himself. It was him who needed
to keep the souls in hell so that they wouldn't escape. Eventually, he got tired and took a vacation in Los Angeles where
he found a detective. Lucifer couldn't bleed, he couldn't get hurt at all but there was something he didn't realize. His
persona was all about having fun, drinking alcohol and smoking, when he met the detective he was fascinated by her
resistance. The devil couldn't control her, he had the ability to appeal to everyone and to force out of people what they
desire the most. Their deepest, darkest desires which they couldn't say to anyone. The detective Chloe Decker was
something special to him because she could resist his charm and abilities, Lucifer was intrigued with her. He wondered
why was she able to resist him, why was she different from the rest of the women in the world. In his five years, he
spent in Los Angeles he didn't see anybody like her. So he decides to investigate a case with the detective because of the
death of a very good friend. Many people think that Lucifer, the devil, made people do things they wouldn't normally
want to, but on the contrary, he was only the punisher of bad deeds. The devil does not influence people to do bad
things, they have a free choice. He despised God because he was the one who sent him to hell as well as his mother.
Lucifer didn't care about his mother just as she didn't care about him when he was the one being sent to be the warden.
On earth, his brother forced him to go back to hell because while he was on earth his brother had to take his place and
guard hell. Detective Chloe Decker and Lucifer liked the way they worked with one another so they proceeded to solve
murders. Chloe wasn't happy but neither was she mad, only the occasional eye roll. She wasn't so happy because he was
trying to sleep with her and was very discreet about it, but she did not have a way to explain how he could get people to
tell their deepest darkest desires. Intimacy wasn't something she wanted because she was recently divorced from
another detective. Lucifer asked for Chloe to shoot him so he can prove he was invulnerable, immortal. She gave in and
shot him in the leg, he started to bleed. It was impossible for him to bleed so the situation was unknown to him. The
thought that he became mortal was pure nonsense, the devil himself could be hurt. Then on one occasion, he was shot
in his home, and he didn't die. Life just kept surprising him, one minute he bleeds the other he can't. Nothing in the
world appealed to him, everything was just passing by and amused him for a few minutes until he got bored of it. Chloe,
though she was something else, something unusual. Lucifer didn't get bored with her, he didn't know why. Later he
realized whenever he was near Chloe he was vulnerable and only then he could get hurt. The devil couldn't explain that
he was curious as to why is that. He thought at first that she was an angel sent to kill him, but it turned out to be
something unlikely. He had been surprised by God, as well as life and did something he thought he wasn't able to. He
realized he fell in love, he gained the ability to love, the monster who was sick of people killing each other, sick of the
cults and satanic sacrifices, sick of his father and mother. The creature which can frighten anyone with only one gaze
into his dark eyes, on the outside he was young but he had old eyes, old as the universe. The torturer, the punisher,
satan himself fell in love with a mere mortal. Life gave him the surprise he didn't want to, but somewhere deep in his
heart t was what he always desired. The person who always asked others what are their deepest darkest desires finally
got questioned the same thing. His deepest darkest desire was Chloe, they had an inseparable bond. At first, Chloe
didn't believe that Lucifer was the devil, she thought that he only pretended to be one because he was so full of himself.
Then he finally showed her his form she was so frightened that she passed out. Chloe became a believer that day, she
was also given a surprise by life, she was friends with the devil. Soon they became more than friends something Lucifer
couldn't believe in this. Something of this world appealed to him, how was that possible? But then he didn't care
anymore he just enjoyed it, actually, he loved it. The thrill of danger, the scent of death was pleasing to him, the
fascination for the mortal world grew stronger within him. He was given the surprise of a lifetime, he was amused by it
too much. His thoughts were that he grew soft and forgiving and that he liked it. The most dangerous creature grew soft,
fell in love. He thanked God for giving the gift he didn't realize was so important to him until now. They call him the
devil, his heart was empty, and if you try and tempt him he will steal your soul.
