ASSIGNMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE CURRENT JOB

Currently, serving IPCL as Head - HR Operations for the entire India Power Group
based at corporate office and responsible for Talent Acquisition (i.e., Manpower
Planning, Organisation Structure & Cost, Recruitment & Selection etc.), Talent
Management (i.e., Performance Management System, Reward & Recognition etc,)
Compensation & Benefits, Statutory Compliances, Industrial Relations and all HR
operational activities including attendance, payroll, Implementation of HRMS and
staff welfare.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

 Shouldered the responsibility of officiating Group HR head for one year


& six months (from Nov 2015 to June 2017) during the transition phase.
 Instrumental and part of the management team in negotiating & closing the
wage settlement with unions (total nine recognized trade unions) through
collective bargaining process for the period of 2012-2017; derived the key
logic and formulae of calculation.
 Instrumental in launching the new India Power HR Policy, Systems &
Procedures Manual in December 2017.
 Introduced tax-saving Flexi-Compensation structure in April 2018.
 Instrumental in recruiting more than 200 qualified manpower at different
levels, for Haldia O & M post commissioning and Meenekshi Energy in O & M
post take over from Engie and termination of O & M contractor engaged
during the erstwhile management, put together during 2017-18.
 A key member in the Meenakshi Energy takeover from Engie, a French
multinational activity and was responsible for integration of HR perspectives
during 2016-17.
 Availability of 90% approved manpower at any point of time for each of the
SBUs.
 Sourcing manpower mainly through head hunting, references and job portals
thereby minimizing cost of recruitment
 Lead the process of transition into HRMS system from the existing
manual HR processes by defining, formulating HR Master Values and
providing all relevant data & information to the implementing
organization (vendor). Launched HRMS system during 2016-17
successfully and it still continues.
 Completion of Performance Assessment for 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17
within timeline adhering to the normalization process
 Formulating & Implementing Performance Linked Incentive Scheme for
power distribution business
 Engagement of Apprentices as per the provisions of Apprenticeship Act in the
organization for the first time

 Achieved an Employee Engagement Score of 66% for West Bengal Circle in April
2014, which is second highest among all circles.
 Achieved an average of 2.1 mandays of training coverage for all the employees of
WB circle in 2013-14. Unique employee coverage is 80%.
 Implementation of Assessment Center Development Center process at region level
in 2013-14.
 Launched & implemented a CSR project ‘Prayag’ – providing computer training to
the young persons from economically weaker section of the society in 2013-14.
 Implementation of Region level Swagat – Samagam – Swikaar process , i.e.
Induction – nurturing of resources- Confirmation process in 2012-13.
 Recruited more than 360 manpower in Wireless business in East Region in 2012-13
with zero recruitment cost on placement agency.
 Recruited more than 250 manpower in Sales & Distribution in 2011-12 as per
‘Accelerated Manpower Programme’ without incurring any recruitment cost on
recruitment agencies – positions ranging from frontline Executive to GM.
 Voluntary Attrition among 0 to 6 months employees minimized to 1% in 2011-12
