Sathish S Uplaonkar, Sharanagouda S Biradar (2015) analyzed that the agriculture sector
has a large potential to contribute to the national income. While at the same time providing
direct employment and income to the numerically larger and vulnerable section of the
society. Agripreneurship is not only an opportunity but also a necessity for improving the
production and profitability in agriculture sector
Gerard Mcelwee (2006) suggests that a major challenge for the agriculture sector is to
enable farmers to develop their entrepreneurial skills. It may well point to the fact that if the
sector is under as much strain as many would suggest, then farmers of all types will require
economic support and greater emphasis on education and training may be necessary.
Debashis Dash, Amardeep And Girijesh Singh Mehra (2018) emphasized that Tribal
Youth is entirely a different segment which needs an extensive study on their personal,
social, psychological and economic characteristics and also government fails to consider the
Tribal Youth as unique in characteristics and different form other youth population. To
improve the status of Tribal Youth in agriculture related activities. There needs to be
investment and encouragement in agricultural extension services targeting these young
farmers, setting up several agricultural credit schemes, encouraging food production using
modern techniques, enhancing incentives for providing need based leadership skills and
vocational training.
Dr. Mahesh Chander (2016) identified that the experience of Agripreneurs can be utilized
by RAS in framing extension and rural development strategies. The RAS may consider
hiring service of these Agripreneurs as consultant so tat they feel motivated to contribute in
agricultural development process. The rural advisory service should develop strategies to
support farmers to become successful Agripreneurs, at individual, organizational and system
level.
Shoji Lal Bairwa, Kerobim Lakra, S. Kushwaha, L.K Meena and Praveen Kumar
(2014) reported that Agripreneurship is the need of hours o make Agriculture a more
attractive and profitable venture. It is clear that there is a great scope for entrepreneurship in
agriculture. The agriculture sector has a large potential to contribute to the national income.
While at the same time providing direct employment and improving the production and
profitability in agriculture and allied sector.
The significance of the study is that, modern farming system, hybrid seeds,
latest technology has to be introduced to re design the agriculture sector. At present, youths
are giving much importance to horticulture such as Fruits, Vegetables, other plants and
spices, crops plantation such as coffee cocoa and allied activities. Some of the people in
India is engaged in agricultural activities which provide opportunity in agribusiness which
generates employment opportunities. Agripreneurship creates wide range of economic
benefits like increased agricultural productivity, creating new venture, develop innovative
products and services, development of rural areas.

of standard tools and equipment and poor quality of raw materiel.

whether the scheme available or not.
It was found that agribusiness will be also effected by climatic conditions like

government and trying to improve their agribusiness.
It was observed that most of the agripreneurs agreed that marketing of crops is
difficult due to high competition and lack of advertisement cost.
● From the above study I would suggest that, training is essential for the development
of agripreneurship. It enables the rural agripreneurs to undertake the venture
successfully as it impacts required skills to run the enterprise.
● From the above study I would suggest that, do more than the customer expectations.
Quality should be maintained in the goods as well as in the service. If the customer is
satisfied with the product and service quality then the person will become a
successful agripreneur.
● From the above study I would suggest that, agripreneurs should know the basics of
accounting to manage your business easily
● From the above study I would suggest that, the financial institutions and banks which
provide finance to agripreneurs and should create special cells for providing easy
finance to agripreneurs.
● From the above study I would suggest that, Agripreneur should be more focus
towards the marketing strategy of the product. Because it is possible in an
agricultural industry that niche market is may be limited or seasonal so be aware
about when and how you are advertising your product.
